That source code included a feature to emulate disk sounds...(!) so I've tried incorporating it to our core.
You can try my test build for now (I might tinker with it more before submitting it)

Re: Apple II Core
Can you use .dsk images? Then you can use the attached diagnostic disk - it's the one I use to test.
Otherwise, attached is a screenshot of Woz's own test program (from an Apple II article from 1978),
you can type that in to display some color bars.

Re: Apple II Core
Oh you're right - it is the list (not the picture of RGB).
Maybe we need to have a custom palette option so you can load what you want ... will give it a try at some point

Re: Apple IIGS MiSTer Core Progress
The Apple IIgs 16 color palette used by the Apple IIe mode was documented by Apple themselves in the "Apple IIgs Technical Note #63":
https://archive.org/details/IIgs_252306 ... s/mode/2up
One thing I notice that the blue is much darker than the same color in the Apple IIe, and the yellow is much more vibrant

Re: Apple II Core
Here is a comparison of the palettes:
(AppleWin not pictured)
you can see the earlier core colors are quite off (especially one of the grays), and the IIgs is much more vivid

Re: 0MHz DOS Collection 2024.03.20 Released
Why is an ao486 config file required? It seems shared by all games. Can we set it manually?
I tried Alone in the Dark and it failed to run, and that's the only file I did not copy.

Actually, have you seen the Hori Fighting Commander Octa? That adds an analog stick and a mouse pad.

Just put the .py script on github and let people use MiSTer's Python to run it - no need to add additional dependencies or downloading .exe files.

I noticed this video had "rolling" effect when loadinfg a core from menu. Is that what you experienced?

Re: "rolling screen" when starting a core : long-term harm for CRT ?
Looking at your INI file, why is this commented out?
Code: Select all
;video_mode=0
Are you using an analog IO board (or equivalent), or are you using direct video? In the latter case you will need to check any settings that can affect the HDMI signal

Re: [DOCS] MR GLUK RESET SERVICE - menu explained
I'm quite confused by this menu; I was expecting the core to boot into ESXDOS instead.
Is it a patched ESXDOS? (i.e. maybe my boot1.rom is incorrect)

Re: ESXDos, is it possible?
Has anybody tried ESXDOS with the latest core?
I'm using a VHD with the ESXDOS files in it; placed the rom as boot1.rom, but it does not show the file browser.

Any plans to try this with PS2 or GC emulation? I'd love to see it used for systems out of reach of the DE-10 Nano.

I'm not sure but I think it happened to me on the Apple II in general.
They are not "out", i.e. you don't have to run the recovery tool to get them.
