YouTube Client Feasibility

I tried multiple searches and I apologize if this has been covered- (i hate when posts start like this)
What's the feasibility of a youtube client to stream 240p content to my TV? How difficult would it be to adapt the SAM method? Possibly with something similar to Wizzo's remote app for navigation and text entry?

I think it would be great to be able to watch some old music videos out or watch some RetroRGB or VGE on my CRT through via the MiSTer. I'd be more than happy to try and or help but I'm only a hack and definitely not a hacker. Any tips or obvious reasons it couldn't happen would be welcome.

From what I can tell that requires the use of a PC?

Sounds great, but how does it work? I tried to just fire it directly on my CRT but only get scrambled image.

I had to set a custom modeline to get it to work on my CRT but luckily I have LED monitor hooked up as well. It's not a youtube client but it is a party. I'm probably going to keep this core around for a while.

Messing around a little more I think you just need to set VGA_SCALER=1 and DIRECT_VIDEO=1 in a copy of your MiSTer.ini

The image is squished but I don't know anything about modelines or what other setting I may need to tweak to fix it. It may just be my CRT needs adjustment but I like where it sits on all the other cores so oh well.

Try it on an HDMI display to be sure it's working right on your system first.
