Re: SCUMMVM

About the "ScummVM_Drive_Fixer" I have found a little typo in the source that prevented it to run, the "slashes" in the dir path were "backslashes" in MS-DOS style, once corrected the script worked but... it did not solved the issue, or maybe I have not understood the way to use it. Sorry about the errors :( I did not...

Re: Could Someone Help Me Reversing What This Script Does Please?

Honestly, I think if you really need the ethernet IP to be static, I think it is better to make your changes to the DHCP config in your router. It should allow you to tie a specific MAC address (probably 02:03:04:05:06:01) to a specific IP address. My router is a ASUS RT-N66R, your options may look slightly different. Otherwise when the linux.img u...

Re: SCUMMVM

The ideal solution (for my setup, of course) would be ScummVM acting as all the other cores where they simply scan the connected devices looking for a directory structure they can recognize but in the meantime how I can solve the problem of an erratic HDD assignement? Right now when I build ScummVM I have a script that downloads whatever branch sp...

Re: MiSTer AO486 Shareware Pack and MyMenu DOS Frontend!!!

There seems to be a red “FULL” block shown in the screenshots above, which could be the turbo speed, but while this shows up in the old menu, it doesn't in the new after using the updater script. I believe it was disabled in the INI because (if full speed is not compatible or ideal for a game) the START.BAT now calls SYSCTL to set optimum speed fo...

Re: ao486 with Top 300 DOS Games Pack - TOO easy to set up?

Okay, thanks - but where is that? I can't locate any such place on the SD card. I can't find it in the menu system itself either. Is it something you can only find via DOS or a Windows machine perhaps? It's not clear to me where this file is located and how to edit it if it's not in Linux or something you can do on a Mac. exit the menu to DOS. typ...

Re: ao486 with Top 300 DOS Games Pack - TOO easy to set up?

Thanks! I haven’t made any changes, though. By default there’s no turbo option it seems. There is/was for TDL, perhaps this should be on by default? Just used the Updater script yesterday and version 09CC is what I got. Where is this MYMENU.INI file located exactly on the SD? Also, where would you place the updated MYMENU.EXE, as I can't locate th...

Re: ao486 with Top 300 DOS Games Pack - TOO easy to set up?

Any chance you know how to change and see the turbo speed in the new MyMenu? This was shown in the upper right corner of the TDL, but it's gone in MyMenu. Looks like it was supposed to be in the lower line of the menu, but nothing there and F3 doesn't seem to do anything. Make sure these enabled in (no#) MYMENU.INI: TURBO=FULL - 486; $A100 TURBO=M...

I don't know if this is a factor, but DOS 3.x and earlier have a maximum partition size of 32 MB. To use larger partitions requires a third-party tool, like Ontrack Disk Manager.

Compaq DOS 3.31 allows for up to 2GB

According to the guide it should work out of the box: "Comfast CF-812AC (USB ID 0bda:b812, 5GHz capable, works out of the box)"

Your device ID is c812 (not b812) which is likely the issue.

The Linux kernel config may need updated and recompiled to make this adapter work.

Re: Comfast Wi-Fi Dongle Not Getting Recognized

What should I do know? Will it work if installed manually or it's just not compatible? Have tested the adapter using any other devices? You need to log into the console (F9) and type "dmesg" (after pluging in the adapter) and see if the adapter is being recognized by Linux. Sometimes they switch the chipsets in these cheap wifi adapters ...

Re: Mac Basilisk II

Vmac could be the missing gap while someone fixes the core (no hope). It just misses libX11.so.6 to run. You can get around that problem by using the libX11.so.6 from the BasiliskII install. vMac runs really well on MiSTer... to use low level acccess to generate sounds. Mini vmac, emulates older macs by simulating the chips, instead. vMac.tar.gz t...
