Re: MiSTer Unable to Connect to Internet for Update Scripts

Doesn't look like your Mister has a connection to the internet, and if it does, it doesn't look like it has got the time yet.
I usually wait until the time appears in the top right of the main menu before running the update scripts.

Re: N64 Core

Is this core available in update all ? Is N64 on the updater script yet? I'm still not seeing it in my menu. Not currently. You have to add a line to downloader.ini [n64_dev] db_url = https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RobertPeip/Mister64/db/db.json.zip NOTE this is downloader.ini not any other file. You will also need to obtain the bios files As o...

This is awesome, BUT for some reason, update_all has downloaded the ROM but not the core. Any ideas? I have tried several times.

Do you have unofficial cores enabled?

Damn, son. Core's getting updated daily these days! Get the latest one right here:

Is there a reason why last few updates weren't added to update all?

Probably as they're unstable/test releases.

Core menu works fine - allows me to load up a rom (I know quite a few don't work) and then says auto detect failed and nothing happens. I'll look at the youtube scaler video. Is there a homebrew rom that is guaranteed to work

Do you have the N64-database.txt as mentioned on here? https://vampier.net/N64/

madlittlepixel has his video for it now, for anyone interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZeLiei-8ns
Don't read too much into the title of the video - The part he's a little unhappy about is it not working with things it's not (yet) officially compatible with, one of those being the Analog Pocket dock, which might be relevant for some here.

you must rename the boot.rom to boot.bin. you will get a black screen, you then can open the OSD and load the BIOS and after that the game itself.

Sorted, thank you. I had copied boot.rom to boot.bin, just to be safe (so both exited). Turns out not that safe at all

Surely its down to the DHCP server on your router? If its a problem then assign a static IP to it.

I have similar on my CRT. I had to force the signal to be NTSC (even though I have a PAL TV) in order to get a stable picture. I'm not near my Mister at the moment, but I'll try and find out the key strokes to enable that next time I am (there's an H/V offset that had a similar effect for me).

I've never been able to get anything to work with this core, despite countless efforts, so last night I decided to try my 32mb memory. That was even worse :D That wouldn't even boot the bios - the 128mb I usually use at least gets into a game before hard locking up. Then I decided to look at the versions of the memory, and the 128mb was 2.5, and th...
