The log to check is: /media/fat/Scripts/.config/downloader/downloader.log

This board can run a PDP11/70 with floating point and Ethernet. It can also replace the Pi in the PiDP11.

Kapton tape is also very useful: you tape around the part you want to desolder in order to reduce the heat on the surrounding components while you move the tip.

It seems to be worse than that: there are a bunch of files which are not in the ROM and I was unable to find a ROM having these files.

Until now I was unable to check but effectively the World version gives the error and the Japan version is OK. I suspect an error in the mra but I cannot check right away. I will let you know or may be someone else can check.

I see that you are a new user and it looks like you did not enable the Aracade ROMs DB. In this case you will get the error with any/all arcade cores.

Re: Air Duel (World) ROM Fail

You have the wrong ROM. Did you get it via the update all (Arcade ROMs DB enabled)? Edit: Even if you had Arcade ROMs DB enabled check if it is still the case: some users noticed that for some unknown reason this setting became disabled and had to re-enable it. Edit 2: You may even not have the zip in games/mame: I noticed that when a ROM is missin...

Re: Is It Possible to Map a Button to an Arcade Stick (In This Case F12) So It’s Permanent?

When you setup a controller at the MISTer level, not the core level, you can define an OSD button which is permanent and is available to any core as long as you do not redefine it in the core controller setup. I am missing something?

The author of the software called it OS/5 Desktop program. It is more like Win 1 - 3.1. Nethertheless it is interesting, in particular due to the fact that it is totally unknown. I have never heard of it before and if you search the internet good luck finding anything.

Re: Cores Accessed via Their .MGL Aliases Have Cheat Option Disabled

When using such mgl MISTer considers the name of the core as being the setname given in the mgl, not the real name of the core. There is no Cheats/Game Gear subdirectory - > no cheats when using mgl.
One thing worth trying would be to create a symlink Cheats/Game Gear -> Cheats/SMS.

IQuestion, the RBF file needs to be renamed to Psychic5_20230716.rbf , correct?

If it is the only Psychic5 core on your system it does not really matter but it is always a good practice to rename it in order to avoid future problems.

Re: Next Generation FPGA Hardware's Potential for Existing MiSTer Cores?

I just saw this talk about the scaler just now. It seems there is some confusion about the scaler. The scaler is written in HDL and is part of the framework. It does not really have anything to do with the Nano besides the fact that HDMI is directly connected to the FPGA and that the nano has enough LEs to implement the scaler alongside the rest of...

Re: [New version!] SD Card Migration Utility for MiSTer: An easy way to migrate to a new SD card, no PC required

If you do not have any USB drive connected there is no reason to have "Switch to USB" enabled. As you see USB is working with your Bluetooth. SNAC adapters are not connected via USB but via User GPIO which uses a USB connector but is not USB.

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

The Wiki has not been updated in ages and does not even mention CD. This makes it difficult to figure out what is what. @AmanoJacu I have the folder in games/NeoGeo-CD and when I go into the menu to load a CD it goes directly into that folder. You have the folder in games/NEOGEO/NeoGeo-CD; when you load a CD does it go directly in that folder or do...

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

I just double checked:
By starting the NeoGeo core directly without using a mgl the core looks for 000-lo.lo in the NeoGeo folder when the BIOS is set to original.

While I had the BIOS set to original I also tried AES mode and got a Backup Ram Error, This happens only if Memory Card is set to Plugged. This does not happen with UniBIOS.

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

Thanks. This is the reason I mentioned mgl: when starting the core as NeoGeo it knows about the NeoGeo folder, when starting the core with the mgl the "name" of the core is NeoGeo-CD so it will look into NeoGeo-CD instead of NeoGeo. In order to not duplicate the BIOS I could instead use a symlink. As I am up to date with the core and main...

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

Not true: I did test it and if you have it in the NeoGeo folder but not in the NeoGeo-CD folder you get messed up graphics.
Now I have to say that I use a mgl for NeoGeo-CD, I did it before the last update to main and it just happened that I chose the NeoGeo-CD name. Could this explain it?

When a core is created/updated in a repository it is not immediately available via the update script which uses databases (Official core, Jotego core, Atrac cores, ...). These databases have to be updated first. I think they are automatically updated periodically but I am not sure. If an update does not come just wait some time it will come. Right ...

The rbf in the zip is named BWSEGASYS1 and all the mras refer to this rbf. The mras are only those which are not in the official release. I did this in order to avoid any conflict with the official core. You must have downloaded a different zip.

I don't understand what you mean by " but had to put in it's own folder". If you used the zip mentioned in the link I provided you just put the mras in _Arcade, the alternatives mras in _Arcade/_alternatives and the core in _Arcade/cores.
