.XEX files are "executables" -- something you run from within DOS. The only way I know how to start an XEX is to boot something like SpartaDOS X, mount your disk, change to the mounted disk (if necessary), then type "X <FILENAME.XEX>" to run.

This is correct. The USER button mimics the RESET button on the A2.

Is there any way to modify the core so that it has a full 64K of RAM available to it, and/or add the ability to swap out ROM files that would enable the use of pre-compiled ROM banks that include other utilities, such as the Krusader ASM editing package?

Would it be possible to have a revision that supports a full-width keyboard? I enjoy a lot of older DOS games that use the numpad and it would be amazing if the setup was modular enough to work with a full-width keyboard.

The 100MHz setting was set to debug-mode only because at that speed things get unstable. It's available, but only for testing purposes right now.

The power supply I switched to is the Adafruit 5V 4A power supply. It's pretty much a drop-in replacement, and since it uses a standard figure-eight style plug to go to the wall outlet, it allows me to keep the transformer box out of the way much better than the wall wart that comes with the DE-10.

Does the MiSTer output these forced video modes over the VGA out only with vga_scaler set to 1?

I can get my MiSTer to output a valid 31.6KHz signal with vga_scaler and forced_scandoubler both on and the resolution hard-coded to mode 6 (640x480@60Hz).
