Re: 0MHz DOS Collection 2024.03.20 Released

The following PR I have just created may be of interest: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/pull/887 With this, we can indicate in the MGL file, a CFG file associated with a core set. Not only that, but any change to it inside the core will affect only this CFG in core...leaving ao486.cfg , pcxt.cfg or any other of the default config path...

Dumb question!
Can I run the games from an USB drive?
I am going to spend all night by checking each single game

I don't see why not. If your other games are working from USB already.

0MHz DOS Collection 2024.03.20 Released

Another DOS game collection? Why not! This one has a slightly different focus than Exo/Flynn , and DOSContainer projects. We originally published the “ Special Sauce v0.0.1 ” collection a little while ago, and Limi (of AmigaVision fame) reached out to say that he thought it was a good approach, and offering to help with planning, structure, and gen...

Re: Special Sauce Collection (Now Superseded)

Thank you very much for this ! I am a big fan of "Suoercars". I think the DOS-Version "Supercars international" is superior to the Amiga releases. The game is included in the eXo/Flynn 300 DOS Pack. I really would love to have a "booter" version. And maybe someone figures out, how to configure the controls /Joystick, ...

Re: Special Sauce Collection (Now Superseded)

Thx for this, it*s made its easy to play. I would like to see Panzer General 2 and Pacific General adding to this collection. I played these games for years.... Age of Empires Series would also be nice! I'm very sorry to report that the games you've mentioned, to the best of my knowledge via google, are all Windows games and therefore don't have a...

That list basically sums up my majority of my childhood lol.

I will glad give this a try and report back!

Please let me know if there's stuff you think I can add. I'll check around top DOS Games lists and see if it's memorable and try to add it if the system requirements fit. :)

Re: Special Sauce Collection (Now Superseded)

Just what I've been wanting all along :) Tested out a bunch (but not all), I only ran into one issue. Albion doesn't load directly into the game, the CD mount isn't detected. EDIT: Worms also wouldn't launch, it did not detect dos4gw.exe or maybe the version is wrong for it. I'm so sorry. I just retested both of these on my end and they are loadin...

Re: Special Sauce Collection (Now Superseded)

Another game collection? Sure why not. Yeah, the more the merrier. Nice work! I mostly prefer to go through the pain of installing and configuring games on my own vhds, but wouldn;t mind having some ready made (but relatively small) options as well. If I just grab some individual vhds/img sets from your collection will they work out of the box, or...

Re: Individually Bootable VHDs for Each Game

Found a booter VHD thing on archive.org for Star Trek 25th Anniversary edition. Maybe the author will most more like this. Search "mister fpga startrek" I like how this just boots and plays. I couldn't get this particular game working right in the Top 300 game collection. Also don't like having to deal with extra menus and memory manager ...

Re: Wait for Mount Operations to Finish

I wonder if a better way to solve this was ever found. I run two misters and find that having all the configs and games etc on a network mount is extremely useful. Everything is great except for this one issue and as I occasionally switch controllers, having to copy this map file back every time I switch seems awful. my cifs_mount.ini looks like th...

Re: New HDR Settings

The good results on Mister mostly come out of HLG mode, which is more like an extension of SDR format. Maybe your monitor isn't so well set up for that? The output looks awful warm to me, maybe the color settings in Mister can help if you can't adjust it on the monitor side? My understanding is that Windows 11 uses HLG for its HDR mode so I’m not ...

Re: New HDR Settings

Issues with Asus 27” OLED PG27AQDM hdr=0 IMG_5782.jpeg hdr=1, hdr=2 IMG_5783.jpeg As you can see something is not right. No amount of playing with any of the extra HDR settings seems to be able to correct this issue. It happens on all cores. This works fine on my LG 65” C1 however. I also have no issues in Windows 11 HDR regardless of color mode or...

Re: Y-Axis not working with gamer usb

You are very appreciated. After some experimentation, it seems you can only use the N64 Controller with USB adapter as the primary controller to get any of this to work. That's too bad since most of the cores work better with my SNES controller :(

Y-Axis not working with gamer usb

I was trying to use the new N64 core with my Gamer Pro usb -> N64 controller. The Y-Axia doesn’t work. I tested it with the input tester core and no Y-Axis. I tested the device on a windows 11 computer and Y-Axis is working fine. I’ve tried 2 different Gamer Pro adapters with two different N64 controllers. I’ve tried updating the gamer pro firmware...

Totally need a discord for getting these set up in invidial VHD's :)

I got Wing Command 3 working without issue.

Star Trek Judegment RIghts runs with CD emulator but sometimes the digital sound cuts out. Haven't found a fix for it. Still mostly playable.

Re: Force 31khz on ao486 core

Well connecting this directly to my XM-29 VGA Monitor worked, but the sync issue seems to be when running in Composite Sync Mode. I have a BVM-32*** and I don't think it accepts H + V VGA Sync without some external hardware, but the XM29 works fine. I kinda of wonder, for computer cores, maybe having a combine sync option in the cores would be grea...

Re: Custom Video Modes Test Thread

I'm kind of daft. I have a Sony BVM, and I don't think the standard HDMI 720p mode works. The BVM will do 720p, but I don't know what that modeline would look like for mister. Would love to use 720p to rotate some arcade cores and increase the menu resolution. If anyone knows what that looks like I would greatly appreciate it. This doesn't seem to ...

Re: Custom Video Modes Test Thread

This video mode is the best I've found so far for displaying the menu with a VGA scaler. Very useful for anyone wanting to run scripts without HDMI, or who just want a wallpaper on CRT. [Menu] video_mode=512,42,62,64,224,11,21,6,10689 vga_scaler=1 The 512x224 resolution gets the menu aspect ratio very close to where it is without VGA scaler on, an...
