Re: Zero Wing by Toaplan Work in Progress Arcade Core Released
Many thanks for this update! When you get a chance, could you please let me know how to setup the second player? I have run outzoneb, I have made sure unused dips were both on but then I have failed to setup the second controller (i.e. start 2p). When I set up the controller it only asks for start and coin. Sorry if I am missing the obvious :mrgre...

Re: MiSTer Core Dev Episode 13: Addressing
@Alkadian, Thanks!! At the beginning of the week I was getting way more subscribers than typical, so I thought something was up. I did a search and found that Hackaday article. Great to have the coverage! We're close to getting a working core, just minus the sound for now. So that's going to be fun trying to implement that. Cool! Looking forward t...

Re: SparcStation Core
Success at last! I have installed Solaris 8 after many missteps. This is what I did:- 1. I used the following Media Size Calculator to come up with a rough idea of what the disk should look like. http://www.csgnetwork.com/mediasizecalc.html An example that they give is - WD Caviar AC28400 Drive H=16, C=16383, S=63, B=512, Size=8.4GB 2. I then used...

@RndMnkIII,
Thanks again for this new core! I do love it!
I have had to manually download the alternative MRA's as the update_all didn't grab them.I have tried a couple of times to delete all the files and use the script again but to no avail.
Thanks!

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Last question for today, I promise! :lol: How does it work with games with multi tracks .bins? Thanks! EDIT: Super, it just works out of the box! Sorry, missed that question yesterday. Yes, multi-track discs should not be combined into a single bin file. Even when you convert those to chd they won't work. Should you have one of those combined bin ...

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
you should really switch your psx games collection to *.chd files ;) you gonna save avarage 50% disk space, and every cd file is a single chd file. no more mess with multiple bin files Very good idea, thanks! I have just tried with a few games with the script mentioned in previous threads and it worked very nicely indeed. or just search for ChadMa...

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Make sure you have the latest MiSTer unstable version, it is needed for region detection. Currently the scph-700x series is being advised to use. Many thanks for confirming! Would you please be so kind as to advise on the horizontal/vertical filters as well? Thanks a lot! Horizontally I use: Upscaling Recommended / GS_Sharpness_050 And vertically:...

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Seems every game I start says "Region Unknown -> US". I've seen some changelists mentioning region detection so I thought this was supposed to work. Am I missing a file or configuration of some sort? Guys,
Can you please confirm which BIOS you are using?
boot.rom => US BIOS (scph-1001)
boot1.rom => JP BIOS (scph-1000)
boot2.rom => EU BIOS (scph-1002)
Many thanks!

There are also some manuals for games, BASIC, etc. An Excel file is included in which, for each game/homebrew, there are the tests results and some additional information.
