just use the console and Midnight Commander to transfer files.

Re: CPS 1.5

There's dozens of arcade cores that have worked fine without a lick of sprite corruption and the problem
with his cores was fixed through software so it's absurd to blame caps and flux for the issue.
Though I do suspect sea level rise due to global warming might be partly responsible.

Re: CPS 1.5

Why all these wild explanations when in fact all other cores worked with the Winbond chips?
There was a problem between the code and the Winbond chips that are now fixed.
Caps, flux, and global warming have nothing to do with it.

Re: [DOS/4GW] Help needed. We are almost there, the perfect DOS machine

Look, I have it on good authority no one will ever need more than 640k of memory! I haven't kept up with this core and don't have the space to seriously mess around with it and here I see a thread saying MiSTer is almost the perfect DOS machine. I'm going to try hard to ignore all this until y'all force me to get more MiSTer storage with a "We...

Re: Why are some seemingly ready arcade cores still "unofficial"?

I know of the davewoo999 and Gehstock Space Invaders core. I suppose it is up to the authors to allow their cores to become official. Not sure which version I have of SI on my MiSTer but it seems to run ok for me but I am not a Master Space Invaders player. The cores come about due to interest by developers and a few came about from those learning ...

As Sorgelig reasonably points out in his post Disclamer from "angry" Sorgelig :) he is a hobbyist who wants to work on the cores and develop MiSTer, not spend time answering the same question again and again on the forums. The fact that he has worked so hard to set up these forums and answer questions is something we shouldn't take for g...

You can get a board for about $10-15 called a VGA32 that has an ESP32 on it with ps2 mouse and keyboard port, sdcard port. and a VGA port
that can emulate a VIC20.
Cheap, small, and works ok.

Is it allowed to just share unreleased cores here? I don't want to get in trouble. I wish the SNAC code would just get included in the main build. A developer has the code but is probably super busy and hasn't gotten to including it yet. Post a link. People share unreleased cores all the time. The core owner is the one who controls it so if they a...

It seems to be related to the trend in some tech industry players to consider certain words hurtful. This change appears to have been committed within the past few days. The updater script apparentl...

Re: New MiSTer hardware board

Certainly no need to discourage somebody from trying! By all means, if you have the interest do it up. After all, that is how we got MiSTer. Just wanted to make sure you know a DE-10 is sold for less than they should cost. The key point is that you DON'T have to spend that much. Less than $200 is enough to start to play with MiSTer. And then later...

I thought the DE-10 nano was essentially subsidized making it cost far less than it should.
Making different add on boards seem more logical than trying to make some all in one board that will end up
costing a lot more than a standard MiSTer for little to no advantage.
