Re: 0MHz DOS Collection 2024.03.20 Released

First, thank you for creating yet another option to play these games. Having ScummVM and the EXODOS collection already, initially I wasn't going to take up more space. I saw PCN's video and have reconsidered, at least with a handful of games. Great fun for fastloading some classics. Nothing negative is intended in the following, but in testing, I t...

Re: Out Run High Scores and World Record

Wow! I don't know if they 'count' the current Mister core or just on an original board, but it looks like you just broke the world record, no? If so, I'd love to watch a playthru of yours because I may have a world record in being the OPPOSITE of your talents with this game. I LOVE 80's Sega and played these games back then. As a youngster, I adore...

Audio pop issue on power and when loading cores?

I didn't use to have this problem. I tried switching audio cables too. For some reason, When I power on my Mister, or reset it in some way (which includes loading any new core), I get a momentary but pronounced pop in my speakers. No other device plugged in to the speakers exhibits this behavior. This is audio through the 3.5mm 'headphone' type jac...

Re: Sega SG-1000 (& SC-3000 + SF-7000)

I was just testing my library in the various Sega/Colecovision cores (and Fusion emulator on PC) I have always been fascinated with Sega's SC-3000 and SF-7000 history and would LOVE to see these get added to a core. The SMS core 'feels' right to be the one being a Sega core vs Coleco, but I'd just be happy to see any core fully compatible. I can ba...

Re: Groovy_MiSTer Core

Wow- I've been with MiSTer (and MiST) for so long- I'm surprised I didn't know that! Thank you! Maybe we will see on MARS, but if that is the case with MiSTer, I must get Groovy. :) I'd love a Retrotink 4K after the reviews showed that it is great for SD content of old tv shows. I can't justify the expense for my own setup, but maybe Groovy_MiSTer ...

Re: Groovy_MiSTer Core

After posting/updating the RDI Halcyon thread, I watched Lu's video (THANK YOU Lu!!) as well as read through this entire thread. Thank you psakhis, Calamity, and any and all that made this core possible. I always love options, including those that benefit others even if they aren't for my own needs. I'm trying to find a current use case for ME, but...

Re: RDI Halcyon Laserdisc Game System Prototype

Wow! I just revisited this thread and looked over at Karl's Patreon page... looks like he has continued work on this as recently as April of 2023? I'd be happy with a port of Daphne (now 'Hypseus-singe') even on the linux side (like my goto for all things ScummVM). I know the 'singe' part of Daphne supported the Action Max and now American Laser Ga...

Is MiSTer the BEST way to play Playstation 1? - video is Waiting!

Years ago, I remember watching MLiG cover the best way to play PS1 games and the pros and cons of each option. If I ever made one Youtube video, it would probably be about the BEST way to play PSX games in modern times. It would compare PS1 hardware to PS2, PS3, and PS Handhelds thru both hardware backward compatibility and official emulation on sa...

Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.12.25 Released with Updated Game Configurations

I'm sure for most people it is no issue. I did copy everything over per the instructions (and replacing any old files doing so). Something just didn't take on mine. I found Amiga settings at the bottom of this page under " What are the details of the MiSTer configuration? ": https://amiga.vision/docs#setup-for-mister Would it be possible ...

In my case, I am not using a Retrotink/SCART. That may introduce extra variables of troubleshooting beyond my scope. I'm still trying for you though... :) I have a direct cable that goes from the 'VGA' type port on the analog board to component (3 wire Red Green and Blue). Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.12.25 Released with Updated Game Configurations

Got this working and updated on both my MiSTer and Pocket. A FINE pairing with my Bitmap Books Amiga visual compendium book! limi, on my setup, for some reason, I had to put the settings in manually in the core. I also watched Video Game Esoterica's older install guide and paused on the settings screens to make sure my Amiga 'hardware' matched his ...

For convenience alone, I'd love talk of Mame on the Linux side, even if there are a few of us at the lonely table. While I now exclusively play arcade on Mister and Pocket, it would be nice to play some Golden Axe 2 or S.T.U.N. Runner while waiting for cores. :) Also ScummVM has been dreamy at said table. Bristles, that is interesting. I've never personally had that problem at AtariAge, but I have been there a long time and perhaps don't post at all as much as others there to have been targeted. akator, you have MANY valid reasons and history here. Much appreciated! Perhaps this way is for the best. akator, fair enough. It's been a long time since I've studied either site's intentions. I like the 'good rule' you post as well. Expanding the forum to include other retro gaming?

Having been here from [nearly?] the start and also on AtariAge, I often find myself wanting to post something, but second guessing... Do I post here in 'general' or on AtariAge where they have separate subforums for different systems? For example, in their forums, there's a place for 'TG-16/PC Engine High Score Club' which has nothing to do with At...

Re: Analogue Duo?

After watching, I don't think I will need to open mine until at least the next firmware. I have very little Japanese and USA Hucards, and my OG Everdrive won't work with it. Hopefully a jailbreak will be soon. Even the Pocket still gives me audio sync issues. I'll play on Mister for now.

I was a VERY early buyer on day 1 of the Analogue Duo. I have an email (like previous products of theirs) that I need to correct a shipping address or forever hold my peace. I have reason to think it will possibly ship tomorrow, but hence my wonder... How is it that I may get mine at the same time or before youtubers like MLIG, RetroRGB and others?...

I've enjoyed the MADrigal Simulators for years: http://www.madrigaldesign.it/sim/download.php ...and it has been ported to many platforms. Anyone else think the naming scheme is odd? 'Mega SG' for Mega Drive 'Super NT' for Super Nintendo ... even NEC had an actual DUO name in a product. Wouldn't surprise me is in a year of so, Analogue's NEXT product is a 4K model of the PS1. Well, next NEW console re-imagining, anyway. Before that, you KNOW the limited editions of the N64 will have the now established funtastic Pocket colors. I look forward to seeing the shell of this thing.
