The ugreen ag6201 is also behaving the same way.... unable to lock in the vertical scrolling.... the direct video signaling is not identical to analog io so it's not usable for my setup which is an Arcade CGA monitor via RGBs.

Re: The State of DACs for the MiSTer and Direct Video
I've also purchased the Icy Box IB-AC502 and it seems to be the Rev A model that I have received. However, I am running into an issue with my arcade monitor and that it does not lock onto the vertical sync with this adapter. Based on the spreadsheet, this adapter shouldn't require an mods, but I do see the picture rolling perfectly vertically.... ...

Re: Looking for RGB to JAMMA Help
Antonio sent a replacement board and the issue is now resolved. It was a bad video amplifier. Excellent support by him and I'm enjoying the Jamma adapter immensely.
This thread can be closed as resolved.

Received the IR dongle today and these were the average results of my tvs @ 1080p with game mode on: 48ms - Pioneer Kuro 60" FD110 3ms - Sony KDL32EX400 66ms - Samsung UN60F7500 35ms - LG 42LV5500-UA Not too far out from what I have read from reviews except for the Sony.... that blew me away because I have not found any specific results except...

Looking for RGB to JAMMA Help
I have purchased Antonio's Jamma adapter in the hopes that I could connect the Mister to my Arcade Cabinet and while it works there are issues with the RGB levels. Specifically Red and Green are very low when performing a color bar comparison where blue looks correct. I have tested the jamma interface with both the Analog IO 6.1 output and HDMI to ...

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Hi, I have downloaded and renamed MiSTer_unstable_20211219_bb91 to MiSTer And put it in /media/fat of my SD: No boot ! Sounds like the uploaded file was probably not copied in binary mode. What do you use to upload your file? If you are using FileZilla I think files with no extensions default to ascii transfers which would cause these types of fai...

Re: Nightly Public Builds for the PlayStation Core
Very nice script! I would recommend creating a GitHub repo where the script can perform a self update when a new version is found. Maybe a simple date check would be enough to see if a newer version has been uploaded versus manually updating the script. Or brute force it and have it replace itself once downloaded successfully. Thanks for simplifyi...

Re: CUE to CHD Batch Conversion on Windows
For those running into problems with chdman accepting very long files names. If you install Windows Linux Subsystem or use Linux... I've create this bash script which performs the same functionality of batch file conversions. However, this makes the assumption you already installed mame-tools via APT. #!/bin/bash echo "########################...

Re: In-line Power Switch Issues
I guess your joking.... not sure why it would rust. When I opened it up there was no lubricants on the switch. Just the copper connectors. But if you like I will keep you up to date.
I'm pretty sure the mister doesn't have a mist function that would lessen the life of the switch.... but I could be wrong...

Re: In-line Power Switch Issues
I decided to pick up a lamp in-line switch and cut the barrel cord on my 5v 10a supply. I measured the resistance on the switch before installing it and it was roughly 0.07 ohms. The switch is supposed to light up when powered but since it's a small lamp (not led) it does not light up. But that's ok. Voltage after installing the switch (without loa...

Re: In-line Power Switch Issues
So it started acting flakey again.... I pulled out the switch and measured the resistance from the positive pin which the switch controls.... it measured any where between 1 ohm to half an ohm. That's way too much resistances for a pass-through mechanical switch and explains the erratic behavior. Seems my search will continue for an ideal switch. T...

Re: In-line Power Switch Issues
A couple off what i think is relevant questions. How old/how long have you used the inline switch? Do you leave it plugged in all the time or unplug/plugin it in all the time? So age/wear and tear that is. I had it for a while and then relocated all my gear to a different room. I believe that's when it started happening, just never had the time to...

In-line Power Switch Issues
For a while now I've been having issues with hdmi sync, a specific crashes in Cadillac's and Dinosaurs and finally the USB devices not always powering up. Today I figured I would investigate as to why this is happening..... i narrowed the root cause to my in-line power switch when I removed it and use the plug from my 5v 8a power supply directly......

CUE to CHD Batch Conversion on Windows
Perhaps people will find this script useful since the recent addition of the CHD image format is now supported. I created this script to perform the conversion from CUE/BIN to CHD in an automated fashion for the MegaCD and TG16 and figured I would share it... Required Tools: Mame Instructions: 1. Create file called cue2chd.bat 2. Paste the code blo...

Re: CPS 1.5
My 128MB SDRAM works fine now... I figured out what was causing my crashes. I normally keep the Mister in a drawer which is deep and large because I can't stand fan noise. However, With this core I found that it requires cool airflow by leaving the drawer open as it runs fine without issues, if I close the drawer and allow the system to warm up I t...

I thought it was just my setup but I can't get the 3rd player working either. Re: CPS 1.5
So not to spam the thread but at least I don't think my issue is memory related and it maybe a core bug. If I don't beat up the first dinosaur on the second stage and break the barrels in this order 2nd then 1st the core does not crash. However, if I beat up the dinosaur first then Go for the first barrel it crashes every time. Edited... There was ...

Re: CPS 1.5
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs crash for me on the second level and I have a 128MB ram. Got my mister from Ricardo this year around July/August. Also interesting is that it crashes in attract mode on the same level but not on the first level.

Marquee display via HDMI video output
Not sure if this discussion had occurred elsewhere but is it possible to re-assign a specific display output as a secondary output in order to display a set of static or video based graphics as a marquee? Example: VGA output to main arcade CRT display and HDMI to marquee display? I am planning on updating my arcade cabinet and I was wonder if this ...
