I agree it looks like not enough power and the hub is shutting down. I had the same problem. I added a new power supply to the usb hub and my problems disappeared.

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation

I thought to get rumble, any controller has to be set to X-Input mode ? At least that is what it says on the Mister Github Docs. The Brawler64 rumble doesn't work, period, on a Mister. You can test rumble, and indeed any controller's rumble, at the main menu - holding the "L" button and pressing the "X" or "Y" buttons...

I was surprised that it will output 4k.

Well, that is the easiest feature.

I thought existing FPGA chips that are affordable did not have the power/bus speeds for 4k?

I don't know about the maximum, but you may have to specify the PID and VID of the spinner in your MiSTer.ini file.

I will try it. I don't have that.

Maximum Number of Joysticks, Spinners and Lightguns

What is the maximum number of joysticks, spinners and lightguns that the mister can accommodate? I have four joysticks with one tackball. When I add a spinner it's ignored by mister, like it has the maximum number of joysticks attached. Since it's in an arcade cabinet. All the joysticks and trackball are connected to the mister at the same time. Th...

The Xerox Alto (1973) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xerox_Alto This was a revolutionary machine with a bitmap display, a mouse, and a windowed user interface. You have to go to blackwine patreon site and grab the zipfile. He has a working version and conversion over to fpga mister. It works great.

I doubt we'll see two instances of PS1 core running side by side on one device supporting the link cable. Although that wou...

Re: WiFi Dongle Recommendations?

Another option that I sometimes use when signal is bad is a pair of powerline adapters. This requires you to have a free ethernet port on your router and can be a lot slower than the router-into-bridge method, but where I live there are literally hundreds of wifi networks around me and interference can be pretty bad at times. I prefer a stable con...

Re: WiFi Dongle Recommendations?

Using a second router as a WiFi bridge is a great solution for a NAS-based Mister, because the Ethernet port has dedicated bandwidth, and can handle up to a gigabit. You'll get the best possible speed that way. Any WiFi adapter will be limited by the USB2 port it has to plug into... only 480 hypothetical MBit (more like 250 in real life), and then...

I don't think you exactly described what I'm seeing. Its more bright bands of flickering light, not random static noise, and its in an area that should be completely static. Note that this only shows up with "24-bit dithering for VGA". It does not apply to just 24-bit rendering by itself, that looks fine. Hopefully this animated GIF show...
