Re: Direct video CRT Zoomed image in menu core
I have the same issue when running the updater all script. I have a basic MiSTer connected to an LCD TV via HDMI.

Re: Multiplayer Family Games
I was always a big fan on Intellivision for family games but they are limited to two players. I would note that in that vain, Intellivision Amico (https://intellivision.com/) is due out this fall. It only have family oriented games and will support eight players I think with a phone app for players 3-8

Re: Is there a list of supported 3 and 4 player games?
I assume with Jotego's CPS2 core we will have Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara. These are my kid's favorite 4 player games

Re: Vector games how to get better image
I was thinking about this the other day, Could you use a small laser projector in a cabinet projecting against a screen from an old rear projection TV? I would think the smaller range would allow a lower cost projector to be used. I would love to do something like this if the cost was reasonable. My favorite vector game was Rip-Off!

Re: Tempest and Major Havoc FPGA
Instead of converting a raster monitor to a vector monitor, I have been thinking about an LED laser display. There have been numerous projects like this with galvanometers. My thought is similar to an old rear projection screen where it would project the image on the cabinet screen from underneath. I have not done a lot of research yet but this see...

Re: Tutorial: How to set up your MiSTer with a J-PAC/I-PAC
This goes back to my earlier post: This is a great help. What about the other direction where you want two HID devices for player 1? I have the Ultimarc UltraStik 360 and want to add a trackball or spinner. Each has their own VID/PID. You could combine the two players on the iPAC or the UltraStik with a trackball. In both cases you have a pair of V...

Re: If it's not limited to existing systems, how far can it go?
It looks like the DE-10-Nano can emulate the new Propeller 2 processor. (https://forums.parallax.com/discussion/168734/recommended-fpga-dev-board-to-get-started-in-fpga-development) Not sure how many cogs and smart pins you can have. I have done some projects with the Propeller 1 years ago but the new Propeller is miles ahead of that. I don't think...

Sigismond0 - I also found the one you saw, there is more information here: https://www.facebook.com/UniversalGameController/reviews/?ref=page_internal There are no updates after 3/2018. I did send him a message, I will let you know if I get something back. I also found this one: https://all-controller.com/ but the Indiegogo comments are not very pr...

Re: Universal 12-button Controller
Just an FYI Update... I am in the process of selecting parts to prototype my own controller. This is not optimized, I just want to get something working first. My thought is to use a touchscreen for the button pad. This way you can use a menu button to load an overlay, eventually the core could send a game name to the controller to auto load the ov...

Re: Neo Geo core considered "console" not "arcade"?
Just like the other consoles, NeoGeo uses a sub folder with the ROM files and a directory for each game. What may be unique to NeoGeo is the romset.xml file you need to have the the sub folder. I took the default file and removed the games did not install so it only shows the working games. It took me a few tries to get NeoGeo configured correctly....

Re: Intellivision Core (INTV)
I got the B-17 cartridge before the voice unit. I couldn't wait a few days to play so I tried without the voice. You had to keep hopping from view to view to see who was shooting you and missed a lot of targets. My wife and I still laugh about it.
Maybe the pilot was Chuck Yeager, I heard he had a strong southern accent.

Universal 12-button Controller
I grew up with Intellivision and I am thinking of converting two of my old controllers for MiSTer but this got me thinking of the other console systems; ColecoVision, Jaguar, Atari 5200, ... Has anyone done a comparison of these types of controllers with the thought of a universal controller for MiSTer? I found this project for the 5200 https://www...

Re: Donkey Kong Jr. Core
I have had great luck with https://edgeemu.net Select "MAME .216 ROMs" from the drop down and put the Name field from the MRA, in this case "Donkey Kong Junior (US set F-2)" in the search box. Click on the ROM and download the ZIP (dkongjr.zip). In some cases you need to read the MRA file "rom index section to see if it req...

Re: Colecovision Keypad Keys?
I am a big Intellivision fan and currently have two of the original units with hardwired controllers. I am going to rewire two of the controllers to DB9 connectors and then use a pair of these converters (https://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/intellivision_to_usb_adapter/index.php) to convert them internally to USB. Not sure if there is a better so...

Re: 3D Glasses Support via Anaglyph (3D Movie Red/Cyan) Glasses
Interesting - looking at the eight 3D games, 3 of them have a 2D option, one (Missile Defense) needs the "light phaser". Line of Fire seems to be somewhat crippled compared to the Sega X Board version which could also support Outrun (maybe someone can look at that core). A couple seem to be unique to this platform. I understand your inter...

Re: MiSTer Developer Patreon List
Sorry for the possibly dumb question but, how does Patreon work? OK - I get that I pay $3 a month, I am OK with that, but do I have to pay each person or just pick one? There are several that I would like to support but I can't pay $9-12/month. If I pay one person do I get reciprocal benefits from the others?

Triggering a Script When Launching a Core or Game
I am looking to build an arcade bar top using Ultimarc controllers which are configurable. Is there a way to run a script when a core or game is launched so I can send commands to the controllers
