Re: Some SPCs play and some don't

Regarding video and audio content, they do have automated tools that scan for waveforms or video signatures, but that usually requires the website to permit them to do this. Given that pretty much all video game music file formats require some kind of plugin or separate software to decode and play, ...

Re: Not able to run anything

I keep a regular backup of my MiSTer games folder, saves, etc... Just because I'm a tinkerer and occasionally I have to redo my MicroSD card. Probably for the best if everyone tries to do this :P. Randomly stuff gets messed up and a reinstall usually fixes it for me.

https://misteraddons.com/pages/contact

I would contact misteraddons about it, just to be sure. I can't quite remember which port does which on the digital i/o board, I don't have one myself. I had an analog i/o board which doesn't have the power jumper feature or the power switch on itself.

Re: Rolling picture with YPbPr

My guess given your recent comment on the behavior related to brightness is that there might be something wrong with the TV, funnily enough. Have you had the TV's capacitors replaced?

EDIT: Actually scratch that. have you wiped out your .cfg files for these cores and tried em fresh?

Re: Some SPCs play and some don't

i don't think you should upload (possibly) copyrighted material unto this board, it could spell trouble. SPC's have basically been completely ignored by DMCA's by the way. For instance, Zophar.net has had SPC's and other video game music files like them up on their site for over 2 decades with zero...

Re: Rolling picture with YPbPr

What's your CRT, what's the position of the VGA Jumper on the I/O board, and have you changed any of the settings in the mister.ini? I've tried the VGA jumper on both 3.3V and 5V; no difference. I set the Sync on Green to On, and I have the YpBpr=1 set in my mister.ini. It works for the Menu, and i...

Re: Rolling picture with YPbPr

What's your CRT, what's the position of the VGA Jumper on the I/O board, and have you changed any of the settings in the mister.ini? My main guesses: - There's something inherently wrong with these composite-oriented consoles sending a proper h-blank v-blank signal over component. A good way to test...

Can you take a couple of good high-def photos of the USB Hub you made? Front and back, whole board. Might be easier to see if something is wrong with a picture or two.

Re: Fast Track to Good Setup for Newbie

Install this updater script and run it, and you are "all set". You still need to supply your computer and console roms of course, but besides that, this will fix everything for you regarding bios files, mame files, unofficial cores etc. https://github.com/theypsilon/Update_All_MiSTer So, we should ...

Re: Holy Glitch Batman!?

Can confirm this is normal. This happens rarely when the MiSTer has been on for a bit and you switch cores a few times. It's a rare glitch you will occasionally see. A power off and cold boot fixes it.

Re: 8bitdo Zero 2 pairing issue

As ExCyber stated above, you likely need to change the input mode:

I suggest using X-Input (so press X & Start to turn on the controller, and then pair it).

Re: Yet another integer scaling question

I find that Integer Scaling is easy to understand when you just point out it's math and show the remainder, but I don't see this explanation of it this way online very often. Explanations online seem to be too complicated. Glad I could help!

Re: I am selling used IO Board and 32mb SDRAM module on ebay

Would you be willing to ship to the US? If so, how much? (Colorado, 80501) I'd be interested in that IO board. I'm considering selling mine and I'm over in 80504 buddy. I've realized I want to solder my own pair for fun, both a digital and an analog and got the PCB's in the other day :). How does 2...

Re: Hardware Buttons without IO Boards

I would check the I/O board schematics if I were you, trace which buttons go to which GPIO pin on the DE10-nano. Might be the quickest route to figuring out what you need to know. https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Hardware_MiSTer/tree/master/releases Like for to the IO Board 6.1: https://github.com/Mi...

Re: Issue with Syndicate Mega CD FMV

Upon further testing, I've also noticed that the declared internal resolution for Mega CD PAL appears to be wrong (set to the same as NTSC), so I'm not sure the Mega CD core was fully built for PAL...it looks like it tries to run PAL titles with NTSC framing and internal clocks but PAL refresh. Non...

Re: Yet another integer scaling question

Integer scaling is when the input resolution (like the SNES' resolution of 256x224) can only be scaled up in whole numbers, so 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, etc... So you have a 1200p display. How many times does 224 go into 1200? 5.3571428571.... etc... So 5x with a remainder. That remainder is 80. So what y...

You all are correct. The audio is not sent to the linux side of things, so unless you heavily modified the code of the MiSTer platform in general, usb audio devices won't work.
