Re: Composite Blend on Genesis core on all console cores?

I have been lurking for a while and just stick my head in from time to time to see if there is any future plans for composite blend on more cores, but each time I look into it I can see there is new threads asking for the feature but it allways boils down to the same opinionated reasons as to why it shouldnt exist even if there is ample enough proo...

Re: Any chance for composite blend like in Genesis?

I havent been on here too long and when I joined I thought it would be a good place to discuss new features and make a request or two that will help the greater community, but it appears that some users believe this practice to be irrelevant and we should all game the same, this thread is completely derailed now , what started off as a good convers...

Re: Any chance for composite blend like in Genesis?

This is how it's designed originally. Actually blurriness of composite output wasn't supposed to be abused by dithering to get specific effect. I am a bit confused do you mean on the mister side or the consoles side, because on the consoles it has been used for decades for just that especially on earlier systems that cant handle transparencies, ju...

Re: Any chance for composite blend like in Genesis?

Sure, use similar RGB to composite adaptor and use ancient CRT. So everything is already there. MiSTer emulates the console. Composite output is simply not a part of MiSTer, so you need to add it if you are fan of blurry videos. Basically scaling filter with blurriness already simulates bad quality of composite video. So throw more hardware at the...

Re: Any chance for composite blend like in Genesis?

Wolf3D is originally very pixelated game. Talking about dithering on some walls in this game is meaningless. If you wouldn't show that pic i wouldn't even notice. At the end of the day it depends on what you experienced growing up, Wolf3D on the PC was one of my absolute favorite games, and when the author wrote that all most impossible homebrew f...

Re: Any chance for composite blend like in Genesis?

Hi guys I know that I am fairly new here but composite blend was one of the biggest hesitations I had with the mister , as I know that it really makes a difference in some games, for instance the Wolfenstein 3D Megadrive homebrew leans heavily on it due to the way it renders walls and limited resolution. After giving the mister a shot so I tried th...

South African MiSTer Supplier

Good morning So for the past few weeks I've been loaning my friends Mister setup and I absolutely love it, I have a few more days left to use his. I now want to try and track one down for myself, is there a South African distributor or some one with cheap shipping, shipping here is from the US or UK costs about the same as the actual mister XD Than...
