Re: Best Golf Game For The MiSTer?

The Mario Golf game on the GBA is great - has RPG-lite elements to it, can't recommend it enough.

Re: "Bad contact between games" error

I get the "bad contact" error on one game (that I have tested). On Fatal Fury 3, when it first loads, right after the Unibios splash screen, it gives me the error (attached). (I am still on the 20200622 core, though. MVS, Unibios 4, NTSC.) However, if I go into the Unibios menu first, and then exit it, even without changing any settings,...

Thanks for the help everyone.
I've found that bad otgs can damage a hub, thankfully it didn't go backwards!

Contact the company you purchased the board from and explain the situation - you've got nothing to lose. They'll probably RMA it back to Terasic.

ZigZag wrote: Tue Aug 04, 2020 2:37 am This just happened with my board after connecting to a new monitor HDMI has stopped working altogether. VGA still works (I want to use HDMI for certain cores on a different display).

Will investigate some more, no doubt whilst uttering innumerable obscenities.
Did you also have an IO board connected initially?

Have you tried using a different sd card?
And as others have suggested, try a different hdmi cable.

Re: 4 Player Arcade Simpsons possible?

You can define a single controller on the main menu, but you should be able to define multiple controllers on an actual core.

Fire up the Genesis core with NBA JAM Tournament Edition and give the 4 controllers a go. Or fire up the Final Fight Anniversary Edition core and give 3 player a go.

There is no Simpsons core.

Re: "Not Enough Memory" Even Though I Have 128MB

Using unibios4? Correctly named? Other bios files correctly named? There are 2 or 3 variations of filenames out there on the internet's, worth checking that the bios names are correct. You can find the correct names on the git page for the neogeo core. I had this issue, even though the bios files were fine on other emulators. In addition, several b...

Re: Show us your keyboards

MiSTER Polyandry.jpg I'm planning to build my MiSTer into an arcade cabinet and realised that completely keyboard free operation was going to be difficult so I decided to make a keyboard with just the most frequently used keys needed to navigate the MiSTer menus. I picked the Polyandry keypad from 40percent.club and created a custom key map for Mi...

Is there any way you can use alternative input via the GPIO pins or how people use the SNAC interfaces for their console controllers?

Re: MiSTer Wallpapers

You can only have a custom wallpaper on the mister main menu. Core menus don't have wallpapers.

You know you're doing the right thing with F1 on the main menu if it cycles through the built in backgrounds before getting to your menu.jpg, which should be located on (windows - root of the sdcard, Linux/Mac - /media/fat/menu.png)

Re: Samurai Shodown V Perfect on MiSTer

OK, so I've done some research, and this rom linked by Pezz, is probably the "correct" rom - and you're fine to use it for now. The longer explanation is that the roms on the Neo Geo Collection for Samurai Shodown V PERFECT, aren't there . They are the Samurai Spirits Zero FINAL roms (i.e. the japanese version from the 2004 location test)...

Re: Samurai Shodown V Perfect on MiSTer

Are we sure the ROM linked by pezz is the samshoVPerfect ROM that's been released as part of the Sam sho collection? Because the 2004 beta test rom for samshoVFinal has been around for a while, and I'm suspicious that someone has had to ROM hack it to say PERFECT. Shouldn't the actual ROM require no hacks? I have the samsho collection on the Epic s...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers

These are very impressive fits! I was looking into picking up a neo Geo X dock and putting the de10 board in there, but from what I've seen it's hard enough to get the raspberry pi in there, so not sure if the de10 would fit.

Re: Terasic released a smaller and modular DE-10 Nano

It looks like it's missing the second set of GPIO pins - given that the SDRAM module takes one set up, you'll be very limited about what additional extensions can be added. Probably only good for the non-SDRAM cores.
