Re: MegaAGS 2022.02.22 Available

I wish my favorite demo (Way Too Rude, 2020, https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=85248) had been included, but other than that, this is spectacular curation work. Thanks for all the efforts, it will help me wrap my head around all the Amiga has to offer! :)

Nevermind, I re-did the setup from scratch and buttons are detected now. Sorry to say, I have no idea what I was doing wrong.

Case solved.

GunCon 2 pointer works, but buttons not registered

Hey guys, trying to setup a GunCon 2 here, none of the gun's buttons are registered. However I know the gun works, because when I access the F10 lightfun calibration, I can see the numbers moving as I move the gun across the screen. I followed instructions from this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0F8KnqeOd8) to install the custom kernal an...

Re: TrashUncle's Gameboy Palettes

These look gorgeous! I hope this is not a stupid question, but I was used to seeing TrashUncle's shadow masks automatically downloaded update_all. I assumed these gameboy palettes would also be downloaded automatically... Turns out, since today's update at least, none of them are anywhere on my MiSTer. Has TrashUncle's repos been pulled from update...

- Donkey Kong (Gameboy)
- Atomic Runner (Genesis)

Turns out, maybe my ROM was the issue. I tried another JP ROM sent to me and it works fine.

Re: Alien Soldier (JP) graphical glitches on weapon select screen

Thanks for the tip! I messed around with the Miscellaneous -> ROM Storage option, and it did affect the lines, but didn't solve the issue. However, setting CPU Turbo to HIGH completely fixed the issue for me. I wonder what's up with that! :)

Either way, I'm satisfied with this fix for the time being.

Alien Soldier (JP) graphical glitches on weapon select screen

I am seeing graphical glitches in the Japanese version of Alien Soldier when played with the US and JP regions of the Genesis core. I have double-checked my ROM from two different sources (one of them being HTGDB). Strangely, this anomaly disappears when the rom runs on the EU version of the core. I made sure to run update_all.sh successfully befor...

I am unable to get "Tetris with Card Captor Sakura - Eternal Heart" to start because of region-lock protection (stuck at blue screen with Japanese text). I tried setting system type to NTSC-J in the v211218 build, but no luck. Tested with both US and JP BIOS. Updated the google sheet.

Just curious... why print "Let Mortal Kombat begin!" to the screen at every execution? I find that confusing since the game launched is never actually Mortal Kombat :)

Ah, good catch with Robotron! I hadn't noticed it. I removed it too, despite how much I adore the game. :)

While these four are indeed great titles, I believe they fall more in the categories "run and gun" or "shooting gallery" than "shmup". I have added the rest to the list. :) (Not Star Wars, until it is playable)
