Sorry, it's been a while since I looked at this and I'm in the process of moving so I can't check (everything is packed away).
The capacitor solution sounds familiar and I would give that a try to see if it solves the problem for you. Good luck!
Thanks! This was just so I can control the MiSTer menus with my remote control and use the remote control buttons to control save states, etc.
Sorry, I'm still not sure what you mean though. The older device (which I have) does have the Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO headers, but it communicates using USB just like the newer "OPL3 Express".
I think both Retrowave devices are similar but the "express" was created due to the chip shortage.
They still do... it's now called the RetroWave OPL3 Express.
