Re: DE10-Nano GPIO17 (reset) - Internal pull-up resistor activated? Touching with screwdriver resets the board?

Sorry, it's been a while since I looked at this and I'm in the process of moving so I can't check (everything is packed away).

The capacitor solution sounds familiar and I would give that a try to see if it solves the problem for you. Good luck!

Thanks! This was just so I can control the MiSTer menus with my remote control and use the remote control buttons to control save states, etc.

Re: OPL3 Progress

Sorry, I'm still not sure what you mean though. The older device (which I have) does have the Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO headers, but it communicates using USB just like the newer "OPL3 Express".

I think both Retrowave devices are similar but the "express" was created due to the chip shortage.

Re: OPL3 Progress

My understanding is that the ao486 core uses most of the resources of the FPGA so there is not much room for implementing anything else. (I'm not sure how many resources are required but I think Jotego's OPL is smaller than some of the others?) After researching and talking to some of the core developers, I thought an alternate solution would be us...

Does the LG CX or C1 Have Additional Latency in 1920x1440 and 2560x1440?

Has anybody been able to lag test the LG CX and/or C1 in 1920x1440 or 2560x1440 resolution? I have a Time Sleuth for lag testing but it doesn't support anything higher than 1920x1200. Also, is there any benefit to using 2560x1440 if our TV supports 1920x1440? If I understand correctly 2560x1440 is only useful as a workaround if 1920x1440 doesn't wo...

Re: OPL3 Progress

I've been pushing for better OPL2 or OPL3 support as well. I'd love to see a hybrid solution (ie. Nuked OPL running on the ARM core) or external OPL2/OPL3 chips (ie. Retrowave OPL3 via USB, or OPL2/OPL3LPT via LPT but this might require too many GPIO pins?) I'm not sure how many GPIO pins are available, but connecting something like the OPL2/OPL3LP...

Remote Input Server Daemon (re: utility to send keystrokes remotely)

I've written a small utility called Remote Input Server Daemon that creates a TCP server and accepts commands to emulate keystrokes (using Linux uinput). For now it only accepts specific keyboard commands but I intended to add mouse and other support. It's similar to and inspired by MiSTer Batch Control . However, it's implementation of streaming k...

Thanks so much! I'm not sure if the JT89 audio was inverted though? I was referring to the original sound core but I can't tell based on the waveform if JT89 is inverted. Also, I'm just curious but why did you switch from the Arnim Laeuger core to the JT89 version? The Arnim Laeuger core waveform matched the actual SN76589 nearly perfectly (except ...

Can you also take a look at something else while you are looking into the sound?

The sound from the current PCXT core is inverted from a real SN76489 chip.

I've discussed this on discord but also created a github issue: https://github.com/spark2k06/PCXT_MiSTer/issues/70 I'm using the Tandy mode with the latest PCXT core (20221015) with 14 MHz CPU speed and 921600 HDD but I've also tried slower speeds and the Tandy sound is cutting out and is choppy. OK - Thanks for the information. Hopefully the keycode can be mapped (?) because it's a difficult to type Alt-126 and ALT-92 :)

Does the XT BIOS support Tandy graphics or only the Tandy BIOS?

Also, the audio (both Tandy sound and Adlib) are extremely choppy? https://youtu.be/v8navlxabTI

Sorry, I should have mentioned I'm using Tandy 1000 mode.

Do you know if there are any plans to implement these keys?

I'm using Tandy mode for the EGA graphics (and Tandy sound chip for early Sierra games).

Tilde and backslash don't work on PCXT core?

Can anybody help me figure out why the tilde key (~) and backslash (\) don't work on the PCXT core?

The backslash key sends a backspace instead and the tilde key doesn't send anything.

The keyboard is a standard US layout and works fine in the ao486 core (and everything else)

Perhaps somebody can integrate the JT89 verilog code into ao486?

Any updates? I'd love to see JTOPL or FPGA OPL3 core from Greg Taylor implemented in the latest ao486 core. I think even if the NukedOPL3 code could be implemented it would be fantastic.

I think this would bring the core to nearly perfect 486, Adlib, and SoundBlaster functions?

Garbled Screen on PC CRT Monitor?

I'm trying to use the ao486 core on my PC CRT monitor. I've previously used it (and configured) using HDMI so I know it works but I'm getting garbled output. It seems like it's trying to output 720x400 with a horizontal refresh of only 26.9 kHz? I've enabled direct_video and forced_scandoubler and am using an AG6200 HDMI->VGA converter that works w...

I'm testing a new monitor with MiSTer but I can't seem to display 2560x1440 or 1920x1440. However, according to the manual it should be supported: Screenshot 2022-09-07 145109.png I've tried the following modeline but it doesn't produce an image: video_mode=2560,48,32,80,1440,2,4,38,183000,+hsync,-vsync Send HDMI parameters: video: 2560(2560), 48(4...
