Re: Recommended scaler settings to rotate vertical-only games? (re: 15 kHz arcade monitor)

Unfortunately I have to agree, I tried a lot of settings to get the vertical games working on my CRT tv and the best I got was Arkanoid is playable now but it looks muddy and it's not nearly as nice to play like that. ; Custom graphics mode for mister menu to allow wallpaper [Menu] video_mode=640,6,56,66,224,14,8,18,12000 vga_scaler=1 ; Arkanoid [a...

Re: Sony Trinitron CDP-15SF2

That error typically means you are trying to run a resolution the monitor doesn't support. Can you post your mister.ini file? Also are you using the IO board?

Thank you that will be very helpful if I can't find a working cable. There are lots of adapters on Amazon but none seem to indicate how they are wired

What cable so I need to connect MiSTer IO board to 1084s-d2

What cable so I need to connect mister io board to 1084s-d2? I have an Amiga monitor coming and right now I have a VGA to BNC RGB and a VGA to component cable. I need something to connect to the 1084 from my analog board

converting d64 games to prg for faster loading

does anyone know of a tool that could convert my collection of d64 files into PRG so I can launch them instantly from the MISTER menu? Loading from disk files is soooooo accurately slow

Re: Force 31khz on ao486 core

ok so I figured out how I had it working before, I set video mode 6, composite sync off, vga_scaler off, and in the menu for the ao486 core set Vsync to variable. Now the DOS text looks like I remember, although there is a little flicker. That might just be my older eyes though it seems to steady out once it warms up. [MiSTer] key_menu_as_rgui=0 ; ...

Re: Force 31khz on ao486 core

I also can't get the ao486 core to output to a PC CRT without using the scaler. It's sad because with the scaler text in DOS looks like crap. The strange thing is it did work once when I was setting it up and outputting to HDMI and the PC CRT at the same time

Yes I did change to NTSC in the menu. I've been looking for a deal on an amiga monitor, does the 1084 support 50 and 60hz modes?

So I was able to figure out how to quit the AGS launcher into workbench and set the screen mode to NTSC, and now workbench works. however as soon as I launch AGS it goes back to headache inducing PAL screen rolling

Pezz82 HDF stuck in PAL

So I installed the Pezz82 HDF and it works great except one thing, the menu boots into PAL mode and I can't read it on my CRT.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhUsCgTI0o0&t=369s is the video I was following along with.
Is there any way I can force it to NTSC? It looks like a really nice setup that would save me a lot of time.

Playing tate mode cores on analog out

I've been searching for a way to play tate games on my TV. I am using a 27' trinitron and turning it on the side is not really practical or safe. I am using RGB with the analog board. My latest attempt was to create a custom video mode line in the INI file that looks like this: [Arkanoid] video_mode=320,08,32,24,240,4,3,16,6048 vga_scaler=1 I had h...

Re: Wi-Fi not starting reliably

I had a ton of problems even with a powered hub, sometimes I had to unplug all my USB devices just to get the Mister to boot. Turns out it was all caused by one of those inline power switches, got rid of that and no more problems!

Yes I am using an inline power switch, I'll try removing that next time I have problems. I upgraded the power supply but I never really considered that the switch might be causing problems.

Re: CPS1 reboots 90% of the time I try to run a core

ok I tried a new SD card, and a new RBF. Still has the same problem.

I narrowed it down though, as soon as I unplug my analog video and use HDMI it seems to work fine. It seems like the Mister doesn't work well with analog video, a bummer for me since I was loving the CRT.

CPS1 reboots 90% of the time I try to run a core

About 9/10 times I try to start a CPS1 game the MISTER reboots and it doesn't work. Occasionally it does work and I havent been able to find any pattern to it. This happens with 2 different MISTers. I'm about to try a new SD card, but since all the other cores work, I doubt that's the problem. The only thing I can think of is maybe I have the wrong...
