Re: 8bitdo M30 Xbox edition - wired Saturn-style USB controller with extra shoulder buttons

Also you technically do not have more buttons than the regular M30 in total as two of the front buttons are duplicates of shoulder buttons.

Edit: My bad. It actually has two more buttons than the regular M30 as the left shoulder button and trigger is mapped to the L3 and R3 (the clicky sticks).

Are there any plans to also route audio and controllers trough this core? If so that would be the ultimate boost for MiSTer.

This game needs to be run in PAL mode (50Hz) to work properly. Some mechanics in the background usually gets out of sync if run in 60Hz.

Re: Save States Master List

I do think at some point, someone will go back and do it. However, in the meantime, there's a bunch of SRAM mods for Genesis and SNES. So, that's a solid work around. So far I believe that FPGAzumspass is the only one that seem to care about adding the save states to cores, mostly because it helps him during the development of the cores when he is...

I have four M30 pads working without any issue connected via a standard usb bluetooth adapter with no issues. This must be a configuration issue for the 8bitdo usb adapter.

Re: Cannot Load "Lords of Thunder (USA)"

According to this : Attention about US BIOS: MiSTer requires original dump of US BIOS to work properly. It needs to be of 262144 bytes. If you can read copyright string at the end of US BIOS file, then it's not correct dump! It's already pre-swapped for emulators. While it will work on MiSTer, some CD games will refuse to start. Correct US BIOS fil...

Re: Saturn Updater Workflow Builds Script Error

Seems like you have a timeout issue when the script check the url of the latest build. I have had this happen once before but usually it will work if you try again at a later time. I will try to make it show an errormessage instead of failing like that whenever I have time to update it (as I'm the author of the script).

Re: Add _Handheld Category Folder?

I can do it by scripting (and I have already), but I feel we should differenciate these systems as they in many cases are quite different than regular consoles and should be their seperate category from the beginning.

Add _Handheld Category Folder?

I brought this up in the past and it was shot down, but back then there was pretty much only the Game Boy and Game Gear core, but since there are now so many cores for handheld systems I think they deserve their own "_Handheld" category folder next to the "_Arcade", "_Console" and "_Computer" folders.

Have anyone actually TRIED to add it as an option? Usually if someone does the actual work and it is done in a proper way then Sorge will actually look at adding functions. But I can understand he don't want to do everything himself.

Is there nobody able to just add this to the regular core as a setting? Like some other cores have a setting for 60Hz stable. I believe this would be the proper way to do this instead of just releasing alternative cores every release. Sadly don't know how to do this myself :(

And yet there is no need for a 4 chip Ram design. Its is cheaper to produce but offers nothing over the standard design and isnt as compatible with the saturn core currently. People fail to mention WHY these 4 chip designs are not as compatible as the 2 chip deisgns. As I understand it the timings are extremely tight on some cores such as the Satu...

Have ever set a specific resolution for the MiSTer via the mister.ini file? If not a recent change made the MiSTer try to get the capabilities of the display from EDID and many TV report incorrectly or the long chain of TV and receivers make it report incorrectly. Try to set a default "video_mode" in the ini file, and also make sure your ...

Re: Do I Need the 8BitDo USB Stick Shaped Like Bricks?

The 8bitdo stick is a bluetooth adapter but it actually reports to the device it is connected to as a wired controller. Usually if you sync a controller to a device by bluetooth the sync information is stored on the device so you have to resync every time you want to move the controller to another device. The 8bitdo controller stores the sync infor...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

running that script, it automatically downloads the rbf file for saturn core? It sure does. You will find it in the folder named "Unstable" on the MiSTer menu. In my opinion the simplest way is to create a free account on GitHub, when you're logged in the artifacts become downloadable - including those of the Saturn core. That is exactly...
