I took a punt on 2xhdmi mini from giviveni store. Works fine with 50hz mister, and actual speccy and friends (when run through 2x scan doubler for actual vintage hw).

Re: 9.7" iPad Retina Screen Perfect for MiSTer, $60 Fully Assembled 😄
Does the 2x mini hdmi version still support 50hz?
I have vga version bought a few years and it is 60hz only, but I'm keen to pick a 50 hz unit - if someone can speak to the chances of still being able to pick up a model which supports that.

Re: External LED question
Do you have the digital or analog io board. I think that the digital led header levels are 3.3v off and ground on, whereas as mentioned above the analog is 5v off and 1.7 v on? But my memory might be failing me! I have the digital board and used an hct hex inverter to invert 3.3 and gnd to gnd and 5v which luckily is what my case's led circuit boar...

Re: Exiting WHDLoad games
Late to party but, I found this info in another old forum after wanting to do same. Try '*' on your keyboard's keypad - if it has one.
I tried this on Speedball 2 and Frontier and it worked like a charm - or even a PrntScrn for that matter.

Ha! I buy all my stuff from Nat, too. Must have missed that on his site. Never underestimate the power of a good dramatic angle... Nice. Where did you buy your fan from? Just a basic stock case with an added heatsink and fan. To makeup for the lack of anything particularly exciting I took the picture at a dramatic angle! It's this one https://miste...

Re: How do I properly hook up external LEDs I/O board 5.6 XL?
Yeah that must be a thing with analog boards. Neil on RMC youtube channel was building a desktop mister in a checkmate case and mentioned what sounds like a similar undervolt with an analog io board's led pins. Around 7m50s :) https://youtu.be/JGXZgVLh02Y So the led pins are 5v off and of 1.7v on? I guess that makes sense with the diag above. The r...

Got the classic PC setup Mine's rocking a pc style setup too and and I've got similar logi speakers, but with white trim. Are yours shielded? If they are I might try and get black ones like yours. Mine have to be situated 'just so' to keep my hp7540 monitor happy. I have a few cheap circular MiSTer stickers going free if you ever feel the need to ...

Re: OK. Lines gone, RAM tests good, Amiga still not booting.
Not sure if this is useful, but I used winuae in conjunction with my recently purchased amigaforever roms and installation floppy disk images to create a working a1200 3.1 hd file for minimig. From memory, it wasn't so hard to set up winuae to work with amiga forever files. I might be misrembering, but I seem to remember that winuae auto-detected s...

Re: How do I properly hook up external LEDs I/O board 5.6 XL?
Hi, Guzzard. Just wondering which pins you're measuring 1.7v between? Are you measuring the voltage between the 5v pin (pin 1?) and the led signal pins (2, 3 and 4)? Or are you measuring against pin six, which looks like it /might/ be ground on your board according to the schematics? Warning: I'm not very good at reading those. :-) Apologies if the...

Re: Rotating vertical games on a CRT with vga scaler - lag?
I'm looking to achieve something similar with my 17 inch vga multiscan monitor: use direct video for most cores, only relying on the scaler when I need to rotate it. I also get the jitters with vsync adjust=2. Additionally, I haven't found a way to apply custom filter scanlines, so I'm relying on the scan doubler for those. I'm not sure if I'm wast...

I think the minimig power dim 'issue' might be this!

It sounds an awful lot like what I'm observing.
So maybe no need for rev 0.0.2?

Re: Digital IO Board V1.2 to custom LED circuit.
Thanks for all the pointers! Seems to work with all the cores I've tried so far. The only slight bit of weirdness is the minimig core. When a i run a game via whdload, the led driven by the inverted power signal dims. It comes straight back when i exit the game. Weird. My circuit doesn't put a cap between the 5v pin and ground on the io pins. And g...

Re: Show Us Your MiSTers
When I ordered my MiSTer I decided that a Digital IO board was perfectly adequate for my needs. "I'll never be one of those fools who gets suckered into falling for all this recent CRT hysteria". So I recently decided that I absolutely must have CRT display for my MiSTer. This popped recently up on NZ's equivalent of Ebay: 20200822_171147...

I absolutely love Art Deco, and so I absolutely love this, too. Good afternoon! So, I posted a photo of my MiSTer a couple of months ago on the day I received it - but today I post a second picture with it actually switched on and playing JOTEGOs recent CORE - Bubble Bobble. It seems sensible to show again as it has a 5" VGA screen in the case...

Thanks! It was my first foray into electronics and metalwork in *very* long time. I would have loved to mount the d-types on the inside but my hole-saw skills weren't up to it. The LED circuit board saga continues in the 'Official Add-on Boards' section. It's an HD-Recorder case, so I'm desperate to see the 'Replay' text light up!

So I think I'm there. I summoned up the courage to apply Volt meter probes to the IO' board's led pins. Always terrified of shorting something important. Documenting what I found for any other noobs who need to know what these pins run at - and have hands as shaky as mine. For future reference, I measured the following voltages on the IO bo...

Re: Digital IO Board V1.2 to custom LED circuit.
A hex converter sounded like more fun, but I ordered one before I saw your reply. I ordered a 74hcu04 (cheaper). Should I order a t04 or is the u04 good enough? Not sure what the consequences of using an unbuffered type would be. With the u04, I can power the leds from a ground signal using a 5v supply. 20200801_143340.jpg One last raft of electron...

Re: Digital IO Board V1.2 to custom LED circuit.
Thanks so much for the help, @legacypixels. Really appreciate it. later... I added power via pins one and six and a red standby led came on. Grounding any of the other pins, sadly, had no affect; so I took a punt on applying 5 volts to one of these. At that point, the corresponding led lit up, so it looks like it's expecting +V on these. So, after ...

Digital IO Board V1.2 to custom LED circuit.
Hi, I've recently installed my MiSTer inside a re-purposed Bang and Olufsen HDR-2 case. I needed a monitor raiser anyway. :-) The case comes with an LED circuit board which I'm keen to re-use - if I can. I'm wondering if anyone with electronics skills might be able to help me reverse engineer some information from the following pictures and schemat...
