You just need to switch the gun4ir to joystick mode from the GUI.

Re: Is screen tilt possible with the HDMI buffer?
It's a neat idea though - it reminds me of portrait-aspect Apple Macs of the early 90s. Arcade games that use a portrait mode would look better on such a screen. Yeah I'm sure it can work with arcade games in portrait mode. But it's not really the goal here, what I want to do is being able to tilt it in landscape instead to be able to play every o...

Re: Is screen tilt possible with the HDMI buffer?
Since screen tilt is not a simple thing to do, and it's an uncommon use case scenario, nobody seems to be interested in it, which I can totally understand. I also contacted several distributors for those screens, and they aren't interested either in making them horizontal oriented in hardware, and just tell me to change the tilt in windows/Linux......

Is screen tilt possible with the HDMI buffer?
I am currently exploring the possibilities of making an open source portable MiSTer, and I found a possible screen for it. It has a resolution of 1440x1600@60Hz (just under the max HDMI bandwidth limit), probably the same as the one used in a recent very hard to get portable device  I was able to create a custom video mode for it and it works ...

Don't lose hope. I said before the guncon2 won't be supported for now, but once I finish this prototype you never know what can happenmrchrister wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 7:03 am Man, this is exciting news. Too bad I just bought 2x Gcon2s...

Re: GUN2CRT, the new universal CRT lightgun adapter
That's great to hear. Hope you can get your hands on a Volume controller or find someone who can give you the needed data :) The Cthulhu doesn't score that well in some lag tests. But I never really noticed it myself. It still would be cool if it works. I'm already thinking of just swapping it out with a Brook Retro Board for ease of use. Works be...

Re: GUN2CRT, the new universal CRT lightgun adapter
3 questions, regarding various peripherals/controllers: Would it be possible to add Namco Paddle/Volume controller support? That would be great for Arkanoid and other cores that support it. I have an arcade stick with a Cthulhu pcb , that supports legacy console including PS1. It's plug and play an recognizes which console is connected (if you use...

Re: GUN2CRT, the new universal CRT lightgun adapter
Two small update videos on the development progress;
They are showing the new resolution detection and processing.
Both games are running on PC this time, to be able to increase the screen resolution to 1024x768@75Hz.

Re: GUN2CRT, the new universal CRT lightgun adapter
When you say, "will allow you to plug any Guncon/G-Con45 compatible gun on any system with a CRT screen.". Does that mean any model of Guncon or just Guncon model 1s? Yes the G-Con45 is the model 1  For now it will be focusing on this model yes, but I might try other guns eventually once this one is fully supported. Surely gcon2...

So it gets sync from there

Re: GUN2CRT, the new universal CRT lightgun adapter
Yes it will! From my test it runs perfectly until around 960p@60Hz in rgbhv.
I will do another video showing that soon
Quite far I'm afraid since the whole process slowed down lately with the pandemic.MiSTer_Kirk wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:44 pm How long are we from a purchase, if you don't mind me asking ?

Re: GUN2CRT, the new universal CRT lightgun adapter
That is fantastic! I still have my Guncon somewhere, for some reason both my CRT TVs and 15Khz monitors would always lose sync when the display flashed, not sure why, so I could never properly use the Guncon. Maybe it would work with the MiSTer, that would be great, especially when the Playstation core comes out. Sounds like an overvoltage of the ...

GUN2CRT, the new universal CRT lightgun adapter
Hey everyone, Some of you might know me already for my GUN4IR system, the lightgun system that works on pretty much any system/screen, inluding the MiSTer. I have been teasing this for a while now, but here I officially announce my next upcoming lightgun system, that this time is focused only on CRT based gun. It will take the shape of a VGA/USB bo...

Re: Dummies Guide to SNAC?
Not sure if that helps, but the mod I linked earlier is working perfectly now, after testing it extensively.
But in order to get my Sega Justifier to work correctly, I had to put the jumper in the correct position on the SNAC board (bridged position).

Re: Could Konami Justifier Player 2 work with SNAC?
Hey guys, Sorry to revive that old post, but I finally managed to get a player1 Justifier for the megadrive/genesis. I modded my 5.6 io board and added a snac adapter to it, and the gun is recognized correctly in games. Sadly no buttons seem to register, no screen flash or fire when I pull the trigger, no reaction to start button, nothing. I don't...

Re: Dummies Guide to SNAC?
I just did the mod for the 5.6XL, using this image:
There are basically 2 traces to cut, and one wire and a 100 ohms resistor to solder. My Snes and PC engine controllers work perfectly with it, however I can't get my Sega Genesis Justifier gun to work, so I'm not 100% sure it works.

Could Konami Justifier Player 2 work with SNAC?
Hey guys, I recently got a Konami Justifier for my crt gaming. But I realized too late that it's only the "player 2" version of it, the one that you daisy chain to the other  Do you guys know if there is there any way to use SNAC with that (with a proper adater), or is it missing some essential component to make it work? Thanks ;)
