Re: Linux Terminal Text off Left, Top, and Bottom

When it comes to TV signals, double check if there is a PC mode (or similar) to the input you have selected.

I was continually changing settings on my MiSTer before I realised it was actually the Samsung input display settings changing things. So just check that out too.

Massive thank you to Pierco for this and indeed Tonton for getting a few ROMs compiled too...

While not exactly a direction I ever expected Mister to take, I'm still very impressed by the results.

Re: SNAC interface for PSX core

Just looking at this while even the prototype stage has me excited, but could someone clarify if my presumtions are correct for the following: 2 pads via 1 SNAC? That Yellow Phono... Could that be for a Lightgun? Please say it is... *EDIT Just noticed this on the PSX-Mister Github... SNAC can be selected for each port and will support gamepads and ...

Yup my bad there, but yes to above (i2s). As it brings the audio back to the MiSTer and outputs through itself.

Do double check that audio was not going to the headphone jack of the pi if you are still having issues.

Re: MT32-Pi GUI Shows EQ Moving But No Sound

You may find that the output is still defaulted to the headphone jack on the Pi itself, plug some in and check, but to fix this go and find this in the config file on the MT32-Pi SD card: [audio] # Select audio output device. # # Values: pwm*, i2s # # pwm: Use the headphone jack # hdmi: Use the HDMI port # i2s: Use an I2S DAC output_device = pwm An...

Re: Moving games to External Hard Drive

Remember that everything is case sensitive too...

If your paths have capitalization (or not) on your SD card they need to be exactly the same on your HDD too, I had similar issues when moving my ao486 archives around, was head scratching for a long while before I noticed.

Yes, it's possible to add a second VHD. I just need more info about it. There is a signal to select a secondary SD card but i don't know for example how to select SD card. Re: ZX Spectrum Next Initial Port to MiSTer

A tiny question if I may, the Next in real hardware terms has an option to add another SD card and thus appears as Drive D. So my question being is there a way to have 2 SD cards (or images) running as separate drives? (Within the MiSTer core that is) NB: I do have a Real Hardware Rev.1 Next (Inside a 48K modified case), and use this 2 card method ...

Re: IO Board Buttons Don't Work

It depends if you have a Digital or Analog IO board but yes the switches on the DE10 are important.

Turn your DE10 so the switches are at the bottom of the board with the Network port on the RIGHT.

Analog IO - Down-Down-Down-Down
DIGITAL IO - UP-Down-Down-Down

Re: Updated BBC Micro .MMB released

All you need to do is rename the file so the extension reads VHD. Then the MiSTer can read it so you can mount it within the menus. To make things even simpler and get your MMB to auto run when you launch the BBC Micro core then name it as 'BOOT.VHD' and place it in the 'Fat/Games/BBCMicro' (on your main internal card - the one on the DE10), as wel...

I had the same, but it's already been updated.

Just jump onto the github and grab 'Arcade-SEGASYS1_20201116.rbf', manually add this (it goes into the CORES folder) and delete the old one. Things should work fine after that.

RTC Temperature Sensor

I've noticed on the RTC 1.3, the extended part has solder pads for a temperature sensor (underside). So... 1) has anyone actually got a temperature sensor on their board? 2) if there is a sensor in place, does MiSTer actually read the information? 3) can you just add said sensor, and it would work? BTW - The sensor is listed as AD7415-0 / AD7414-0 ...
