Re: Got a Shock and Now the Buttons Don’t Work!

Sounds like ESD to me at this point, maybe a component on the analogue board got damaged?

Re: Neo Geo games not working on Mister Pi

i had that problem with unibios once when i had set the core to AES and the unibios was set to MVS, once i switched the mode to MVS for the core itself it resolved the issue for me.

core in MVS and unibios set to AES works good though.

i would be amazed if anyone or any team for that matter could pull off a DreamCast / PlayStation 2 core given that it would be even feasible on FPGA hardware in time, i for one can only wait and see.

Nicely done, i was about to suggest you could try and write that code unto your arduino but to check the required pins for correct operation(s).

Thanks for updating your posts concerning this topic!

Re: SNES USB Adapter Problems with NTT - Update?

Seems someone has reverse engineered the NTT pad for what it's worth, though it seems that OP deleted it's account and no one had picked it up since i guess? See here The USB adapter you're using looks like it's using a sparkfun arduino type board for reading pad data. If the developer of this board has a git page for this board then code could be ...

Re: Japanese BIOS v2.1 Possible [Solved]

I took a look at the v2.1 ROM and the offset you mentioned is not the offset that worked, because address 00000118 is the start of a sub function that is used by the function that checks for the cartridge presence and inserting C9 (RET) makes it return early but does not produce the desired result, which is the cartridgeless BIOS screen that plays ...

Re: Ban all but Core Developers from news Post thread

i guess you would better suggest a rights management system where the board admin / owner can assign posting rights to users and where the threads can be assigned a minimum required role to be able to post there.

banning sounds kind of a little extreme to me.

Re: Analogue 3D is available to preorder

A quick glance at LCSC looking for that FPGA tells me the price drops quite fast to around $72 to $86 per unit once you order 200+ and it even drops a little more at 500 and 1000 units, so anyone able to create a working board could potentially get one out for around $200 give or take and depending on how much time needed to design and prototype th...

Re: DE25-Standard Terasic Inc Press release

I am awaiting a board with far more LEs allowing us to take us to the next step of PS2, Dreamcast, GameCube etc. While this is an upgrade, it's not much bigger than the DE-10 which I must say is an incredible piece of kit running up to 5th generation machines. PS2 etc. in FPGA world be incredible, and I'm happy to wait and pay more as and when tha...

I've tried my version of Ghost in the Shell. Booted the game, started the game and let the intro play. Played first level and died on boss. Played another game and got the the 2nd level and boss and died there. Game runs fine for me as far as i'm aware. The image i'm using: Ghost in the Shell (USA).chd SHA1 = C6C8C7E2DC547F5794462D21DFF9CAD8B8672A3...

Deadzone only works for analog input as far as i'm aware, and a d-pad is a digital input, as are the other buttons.

Re: Ironclad Plus - VGA output woes

If you got the right equipment you could test the output pins of the VGA connector and see if they produce the right voltage(s)? (Or any voltage for that matter?) I'd recommend looking up the pinout schematic to find out what pin is assigned to a signal or ground. If you don't have anything like that you could try inspecting the board with a magnif...

Does PSX refer to PS1 or all Playstation consoles?

The PSX was a special DVR edition of the PS2 that never seemed to have left Japan.

Anway, I'm out of this. I was just disappointed by forcefully cutting out information from a list to make people believe that these games are unplayable(incompatible) when many of them have been completed already. That method is the kind they use on websites like X to get people riled up and then "fighting" ensues. Don't let them drag yo...

Re: Arcade Setup MiSTer Backend + Pi GUI Frontend

MiSTer is a great project but it really needs more focus on players instead of developers. This is not for gamers who can turn on a Playstation. This was an enthusiast project from the start, MiSTer wasn't the first and most likely won't be the last of it's kind you'd see. It's not that hard coming to grips with it's minimal layout. Personally i d...
