I had the same issue at first. I ended up purchasing the parts listed in this post:

I was able to assemble a working tty2oled and use it with my MiSTer easily and without soldering.

You are thinking of this all wrong!

From now on, when you miss a jump in a platformer, you have to touch the case. See how long before you improve!

Go ahead and steal any of that code. It was time consuming to write. Glad if we get more benefits.

Looks great! Nice thing about the menus - you can use the controller to navigate them.

I just uploaded an update to Super Attract Mode which requires the latest tty2oled. With that you'll get the standard tty2oled core graphics for 10 seconds, a transition, then the game and system name are displayed. Open to suggestions for further features!

Mellified, how easy is it to add new cores in ? I would like to add for personal use the ZX Spectrum core using .z80 snaps. I pick those as they load straight in without keyboard input. I know it's not going to be for everybody to do this - but is it just a case of looking at the code and replicating what I see with other cores or is there somethi...

Everything in /root is reset to defaults after every Linux update.

As stated in the original post: AverMedia Live Gamer 4K (GC573). It’s a PCIe card - and one of the very few I have found that accepts 1440P resolutions.

Super Attract Mode uses a third party tool to copy the selected ROM to a known location, then uses emulated keystrokes to select that ROM. It's a huge kludge because MiSTer lacks a standard method for telling a core to load a ROM. You can check out the tool we use here:

Small feature request--currently, it looks like the script only supports RBF files in the _Consoles directory. So any of us who keep RBFs in the root or custom folders can't use this. NeoGeo is unfortunately picky. I can't get it working at all via CIFS for example. There is a pre-made pack out there that works for most people though.

I used the 2.2.0 Unstable branch and was able to load Infocom games OK.

You can use CIFS AKA SAMBA today if you don't want to wait.

Should do, just tested.

Specifically, writing a " " (space) character doesn't create a blank area under it no matter which font type I use. I was hoping to do this so I could wipe part of the screen - not the whole thing with "cls".

Unfortunately the new fonts don't overwrite existing ones it seems. I also tried using the symbolic font, but those didn't overwrite either. Not the end of the world - the support as-is works well. The new fonts are a little more stylized, which gives a different aesthetic. May be nice for some use cases!

That'd be nice. If you have the space put the non-transparent equivalent of each of the existing ones on perhaps? That'll allow all sorts of special effects for whatever sizes.
