Re: Violent Storm and other dream cores....
Flash Gal. Really. So underrated game... that is a CRAZY looking game. I dig it. So how does one even start learn to do something like hardware emulation for mister? Is it just that far and beyond mere mortals? I am certainly interested in how this whole process even happens. I mean, if it means I can somehow get some of these greats on the list t...

Re: Violent Storm and other dream cores....
Definitely those classic '90s Midway boards. It's great that most of the Street Fighter games are going to be available soon as well as Darkstalkers and Marvel vs. Capcom, but we need Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam. Midway T-Unit and Wolf Unit would give us the Mortal Kombat trilogy, NBA Jam plus NBA Hangtime, Rampage World Tour, 2 on 2 Open Ice Challe...

Re: Violent Storm and other dream cores....
Sega System 16 would be great, with games like Galaxy Force, After Burner and Space Harrier as well (check out the amazing 3DS versions if you have one). I wonder if the MT32-pi could be used with Outrun. Such a fan of Space Harrier, all those scaling games are so much fun. I did manage to pick up the 3 game set of that collection in Japan. I'd lo...

Some great choices there!
Never heard of Rodland but looks like one to definitely check out.
A little bit of history with the Nintendo shooter as well, good stuff.
Would love to be able to play that.

Violent Storm and other dream cores....
Hey all, Lots of new developments with MiSTer when it comes to arcade cores. Jotego releasing AvsP the other day has just been such a joy for me, as well for many others I am sure. It had my mind wondering what other cores would be just amazing on the MiSTer? I immediately went to Violent Storm, a bit of an obscure Konami brawler and it doesnt look...

Re: PlayStation
I have no idea but as long the project doesnt become too stressful for them and they have fun making a great core (that many of us will enjoy). Im certainly enjoying the process at the moment and seeing the progress they are making. What once was thought to be impossible, now is looking more possible. That is pretty awesome.

The progress of this project is so inspiring. (which was why I was so shocked when someone suggested this was fake) I never had a PS1 but I have always been interested the variety that the PS1 offers. I have emulated a few games and played some on my vita so I am very excited to have a more accurate version of this console. Is there a 2.4ghz versio...

Re: Recommeded filters for different cores?
Here is a link to one of Smokemonster's videos.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqngWjUTSlI&t=560s
He sometimes mentions his settings that he has for his cores.
In general, I very much recommend his channel if you are not familiar with him.

Recommeded filters for different cores?
Hey All, Just wondering what other people's recommendations for filters with their cores? I never was a fan of scan line filters when emulating but with the mister it can make games really shine. I have seen some of Smokemonster's recommendation and I basically follow that. In general, I use scan line (bright) with a gamma poly 2.5 setting. Maybe t...

Best Golf Game For The MiSTer?
Hey everyone, Been playing some Neo Turf Masters and it is a great golf game. I'm not into sports games really but a good golf game can be a lot of fun to play with some friends. Just wondering what other golf games one would recommend that could be played on the mister? Love to hear your suggestions. Or is Turf Masters just the king of them all? -...

Oh awesome!
Thanks for the info! I really appreciate the helpful info.
It looks like the adapter is out of stock at the moment, but Ill be patient and see if they restock.
After a little research, I did find this though, the raphnet-tech snes usb adapter.
