I also edited the version .txt file (can't remember actual file name) so it says 2023.07.17 on the menu.

Re: DIY Folder Organisation Clean Up Unwanted Cores?

I didn't really want to open a new thread for this.. it might seem like a really silly question.. so apologies up front.. regarding the organiser script as seen in the update all options.. is there a stand alone version that can be used without being online?

I don't know if you have the knowledge, but from a standpoint of taking on a challenge and a learning experience - I'd say go for it. What have you got to lose? Only time. You might gain some insights along the way that will help you in other areas. Good luck.

I don't really understand much of this thread, but my first pc was a 486dx2/66 back in 1994, I'd love that as a core.

Re: Any idea on how to correct this?

no probs. as for the pink screen i'm not sure what the problem is there
all i can suggest is have an alternate mister.ini for the hdmi screen and put up with not having the backgrounds on the crt.. :lol:

Re: Any idea on how to correct this?

add

[menu]
forced_scandoubler=1
direct_video=1
fb_terminal=1

to your mister.ini, that should get the background on the menu to show up on the crt..

NML's MiSTer 15kHz RGB spreadsheet is made with CRT users in mind, but can serve your purpose too, at least partially.

I'd not seen this before.. just wanted to say what an incredible piece of work, congrats to NML..

Re: CPS3 Jotego Development Update

SF3.3 is what everybody wants. It is super expensive to own, very fragile board and is the pinnacle of 2D fighter and most ports were not arcade perfect. So, yes, it is a single game, but it is worth more than 50 cores of arcade games from the 70s that only boomers play. quite curious how many boomers are playing these games, I'd have said it was ...

woah, worth checking out just for Autocad 12, I remember using Autocad 13 at uni in the mid 90s.. It's pretty dated now, but at the time was cutting edge stuff.. I remember it took hours to render an image.. nice bit of nostalgia seeing it again :)

Re: Rotating the display

I use mister with a crt but its not the be all and end all. Using vertical games is a complete pain, and some cores don't work well with a crt, some have adjustments & options, some dont. Its not consistent and that can be frustrating. That's cos those cores are as close to the original arcade PCB's as possible. If the rotate option wasn't on ...

this sounds like such a daft question, but is there anyway i can define the controller buttons to match the joystick movements on the amiga version of NZS.. i.e. pushing up is up and/or jump and pressing fire is fire (not jump) - if that makes sense..

Custom re-print of the Official MMS case with a different Amiga style rear panel. Printed in “Bone” PLA with generic Amazon brown PLA for the small parts. I was going for a Commodore vibe for it. This was the first big project for my new printer so I’m very happy with it. oOo that amiga style rear panel really works well, surprised RMC never thoug...

Activate the OSD, Rotate Screen -> On. Don't forget to save settings.

doesn't rotate on a TV via scart, only on a vga monitor with vga scaling selected and/or through hdmi

Re: Is it possible to switch MiSTer.ini and MiSTer_alt.ini with "Reset / OSD / User" buttons?

you should be able if you did map your keys for buttons in the osd. arrow key left and the back button ex. I don't mean to sound stupid but this is confusing me, I can navigate to the menus and I can select an alt config. that's not the issue.. The issue is how can I do that when I'm not connected to the primary screen and the MiSTer doesn't show ...
