Re: Sony Multiscan CRT custom video_mode

I see. So what outputs at 256x224 and fits into 512x448 at an integer ratio? I think the Jotego GnG core will do that. And the Sega System 1 for wonderboy. Does the SNES normally output at that resolution too?

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support

That fixed the audio glitches, but there's major stuttering during weapons fire that is pretty game breaking as of now. I'm hoping to find a solution, as I love this game. There's mention of a similar issue in the compatibility thread - the fix for which is use of a FAT16 disk rather than a FAT32 o...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support

OK, so i'm up and running with my custom games list in TDL :) One thing i should say about the below is that having two partitions on the one VHD seems to stop guiformat-x64 from running. So you have to set up the partitions in FAT32 from the start. Any tips on general fixes to get games running? I ...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support

@buttersoft, yes exactly. Much obliged for the tips - the new version of eXoDOS-converter looks pretty slick. You only need to do that first conversion step, and after that it sets up TDL for you, no need for more processing! Your idea to use dummy zips looks nice, i must say. Though i do now need ...

Thanks, Flynn, for putting all this effort in! I've mostly been following along with your youtube channel and this is all pretty amazing. I was really hoping you'd get to the point of a curated collection, and this one is great. Ultimately i'm hoping to build a few smaller, custom collections for pp...

...I am curating a Top 300 games VHD and testing every game in that list and I probably have 15 hours into correcting issues like you have outlined. I've been following your efforts, and they're much appreciate. I can't deny a pre-made VHD collection would be awesome. Any idea how big such a VHD is...

Re: Audio Amplifier, advice please

You can always split out a 3.5mm jack into two RCA plugs - might give you a few more options? There are tons of cheap amps on Ebay or Aliexpress, you could start looking at some cheap Lepai ones, taking their power ratings with a grain of salt of course. They'll certainly get you going.

Re: [MegaCD] Support for hybrid rom/cd images (Pier solar, MD+...)

Ok, so how the hell do i get Pier Solar to load? I've tried naming it cart.rom, naming another cart cart.rom, placing it in different folders, etc. If i load the megaCD core, and try to load a cue file, those work fine, but with that option i can't see Pier Solar to select it. The folder it's in wil...

Ahhh, i figured it out. Using an LCD monitor, you can go into the Archie core, load the desktop, go into confirguration>screen, and set the resolution to "normal" making sure to leave the interlaced box unticked. Then just turn on direct video in your mister.ini and it will load in 15kHz. I have no ...

Try tapping the "0" key on the Numpad while booting to set the Archimedes to the 15 KHz mode. I can't seem to get this to work, i still get a 31kHz split image. List of cores that require SDRAM, and how much?

https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_Mi ... t-by-cores

That link, that comes up at the top every single time i search, goes nowhere. I know i had a list the other day, but i can't seem to find it again.

Does anyone have a link to the list of SDRAM requirements?

Thanks!

So... no one else has had similar problems? I have been hot-plugging the HDMI port a bit, which i didn't realise might damage it. Somehow i don't think that's the problem. Re: Getting a Mister for an original CRT + Jamma arcade cabinet

I dont get the J-pac video feature, can't I take the R-G-B-Sync signals from the VGA connector of the Mister IO board? Probably not. The spec is a 0.7Vp-p signal so i imagine that's what the mister is producing, and the arcade chassis probably wants about 1.5Vp-p minimum. The J-Pac acts as an ampli...

I'm very, very new to this myself, but... https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki/Setup-Guide seems to be a good place to start with the MiSTer. And then either the Direct Video page about setting up RGB signals - https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki/Direct-Video - or buying an ...
