Re: Saturn (Mini-DIN-10) Premium Universal Video Cable

MiSTer can output NTSC and PAL.

Have you set your mister.ini file correctly? How about in the core(s) itself?

Re: CPS3 Jotego Development Update

Someone asked last month in the jotego discord and the response was that there's no news.

Jotego and his team are busy with audio balancing across cores, Sega System 18 and Neo Geo Pocket development, and probably other things I'm forgetting.

Just wanted to say I finally had a chance to test this out, and it worked great. Using it I found out that an 8+ year old BenQ 1080p monitor I recently got for free from work only had 5 - 8 ms of lag.

Using a track from Dracula X I recorded audio from (1) SuperGrafx with Turbo Everdrive Pro->EDFX for stereo audio and (2) MiSTer analog out from TG16CD core Other than some difference in volume, the wave forms appear to be the same. Re: Two Monitor Setup, RGB Component Splitter

Could try wiggling the cables at the ends. Might be a bad connection.

Or try swapping cables around to see if you get a different color that's out. If so, that could help diagnose a bad cable, if that is indeed the case.

Hope they work! I don't know anyone in the area, but I am comfortable doing occasional capacitor replacements on PVM/BVM expansion boards and game consoles if the caps and a guide/map are provided and traces/pads aren't really damaged (too lazy to patch them up). Don't have any experience discharging a CRT, and would prefer not working on anything ...

Re: Two Monitor Setup, RGB Component Splitter

Hey, Japan here too (Tokyo). I got mine from Aliexpress, but those could work. I believe mine are all 75 ohm cables. Dunno if those in the listing are 75 ohm, 50 ohm or something else. But it's Amazon, so I suppose if you buy it and they don't work you can return them rather easily.

Re: Two Monitor Setup, RGB Component Splitter

Based on the second picture, it looks like you're using RGBs (four cables), not YPbPr (also called component, and uses three cables). Run the source cables (from mister, other gaming console, etc) into the monitor in the first picture (into the "in" ports in the A section of the RGB/COMPNENT area). Then another set of four cables (male on...

Re: Sega Saturn Core in Development

In Elevator Action Returns (JP), at the beginning of the first stage when you get a few floors down the building explodes a helicopter shows up. In my use of the core the audio gets distorted for several seconds. Same thing happens in stage two when you get outside (on top) of the terminal. Does this happen to anyone else? I've tried two different ...

I have two audio CDs that are in CHD format. I can play them back by loading the TG16 core, selecting the CHD as the disc to load through the core menu, then it starts into the TG16 audio playback bios.

My guess, based on the message at the bottom, is it's not finding the CD/ISO. Haven't actually played this version of the game in probably 20 years (nor tried on mister), so not sure if that's correct or not.

Re: Does the Saturn video output support a component cable?

Depending on whether you're trying to use the HDMI port (direct video) or the analog io board, the instructions differ a bit. You'll need to edit your mister.ini. Here's a guide on using the direct video functionality (pushing analog video over the HDMI port. You'll want the YPbPr (component) section, but it's a good idea to read through most of th...

Talking about the actual Saturn console? If so, it does composite, s-video and RGB.

If you're talking about the Saturn core on MiSTer, then I would assume it can do component if you have your mister.ini file set correctly.
