Re: Zero Wing by Toaplan Arcade Core Released

Nice work on Truxton. I gave it a quick go and seems fine so far. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Zero Wing by Toaplan Arcade Core Released

Whoa...Truxton already. I had to try this.

Graphical glitches aside, seeing Tatsujin running now is amazing. Hellfire seems pretty solid, loving this core.

Now I can retire the Outzone rbf.

For Outzone, I just renamed a few things. It's far from perfect but at least you can give the game a go.

Not quite the first, the x68000 had it a few weeks prior. Still cool though.

Re: Coco3 Core Released

Still, I cannot fathom how to load disk images; all 4 reported drives won't let me boot to any .dsk. Maybe there's a command we need to enter at the prompt  Once you have your .dsk file selected type "DIR" to get a content listing of the disk. Then type LOADM"GAMENAME" to load the game. Depending on the game this might ta...

This is awesome, works great, thanks for the tip.

Re: CAVE 68000 Any News for MiSTer

Does anybody know if Josh is still working on this. Two months without any sign of life, just after he said he planned more frequent checkins. Not judging at all, just curious if the core is still in development. He has a habit of disappearing from time to time. I'm sure he's a busy man and all but it would be nice if he gave more frequent status ...

Re: Controller as a Mouse

Yeah, I gave up for now and just use a USB mouse for when I need one. The controller as a mouse isn't nearly as good as the real thing anyway, it was just a nice convenience to have. Also, this didn't happen right after I ran an update. I had updated earlier but it was still working. It just kinda quit on it's own, heh. Thanks for your help though,...

Re: Controller as a Mouse

Thanks Andy. Yeah, that's the manual and controller I have. And as you can see there's no way to switch modes unless you plug it into a different device which I haven't done. I got it just for the MiSTer and I've only had them both a short time. That said, after this "mouse" problem started I did plug it into my PC just to see what it wou...

Re: Controller as a Mouse

I don't think there is any way to switch modes on this controller. It's the wired version, not the bluetooth/wired version, and I haven't been able to switch modes at all by any means of button presses. One thing I noticed when it was working I would see a pop up in the top left corner of the screen that said "mouse mode on/off". I don't ...

Controller as a Mouse

I have a 8bitdo SN30 Pro (wired) that I've been using on my MiSTer setup. I had it set up for using as a primitive mouse on some of the computer cores and it worked well enough that I could get by without connecting a real USB mouse. For some reason it's now stopped working as a mouse, still works great for playing games. I've went back in the main...

Turns out my problem above was the SDRAM. After adding 128MB SDRAM the overlays are now working.

Re: Atari 8-Bit Computers

Today I added the 128MB SDRAM to my new MiSTer which among other things, allows cartridges to run in the Atari 8-bit core. Happy to say the fixed version of Bandits in .CAR format works like a dream. I had to use the XL bios (without Basic) and not OS-B but by doing this it runs well and I got 3-4 levels past the first level freeze up.

Re: Atari 8-Bit Computers

Bandits fails, perhaps it has remnants of disk copy protection. There's a "fixed" version out there that works. Thanks to the devs for this core. I just got my MiSTer a few days ago and being the A8 fan I am I'm having a blast with it. Edit:...after further testing seems that "fixed" version of Bandits freezes after the first l...

Re: Vectrex Overlay Autoload?

New MiSTer user here and trying to get this going. The games all run great but none of the overlays load, well the bar pops up with a loading screen if I try to manually load them but nothing happens. I have tried placing the overlays in the same folder as the game files and in a folder inside the games folder, so /media/fat/Games/Vectrex and /medi...
