You need to setup CD-ROM support in DOS first (see this https://www.jamesfmackenzie.com/2021/03 ... m-support/)
I personally use http://adoxa.altervista.org/shsucdx/ instead of mscdex, and XCDROM instead of OAKCDROM driver, but to each its own

The official released MSX core by Molekula is MSX1.
If you want to use the unreleased MSX2 core, follow this : https://vampier.net/MSX/
Forum has plenty of info: viewtopic.php?t=6533 (and viewtopic.php?p=60600#p60600 plus some other links in these threads).
Hope it helps.
Yes, because by default the core's IP address assigned via PPP would be .254, first three octets being your LAN specific (like 192.168.1.0/24 in most cases).
Here is the up-to-date how-to on PPP (and not only) connections on different cores/OSes: https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_M ... connection
Added Humpty's Scramble to the list, it seems to work fine on both EMM386/QEMM setups. As mentioned, DOS32A gives a marginal effect on game speed. Only tested the 2D levels, didn't reach yet to 3D ones, will see how it goes.
For Magic Carpet 2 - The Netherworlds you need to replace (copy over and rename) DOS4GW.exe with DOS32A.
Added Battle Arena Toshinden to main list, unfortunately the performance is not great at all to play this game
Tested as usual under DOS 7.1, EMM386/QEMM setups. Also used DOS32A instead of DOS4GW.
SSH and SFTP work as well under MS-DOS using the latest fork of SSh2DOS client from here: https://github.com/AnttiTakala/SSH2DOS/releases
Copy it to your DOS VHD, edit the included wattcp.cfg file to reflect your core's PPP IP/netmask/DNS/gateway.
Most of games with CD Audio work fine now on ao486, except RTZ and Betrayal at Krondor afaik, could be some other (this last one is not recognized at all by the core, or at least the bin/cue floating around, but seems to work in PCEm).
I assume OP referred to CD version not working properly when music is on, am I mistaken ?
@Bas: Didn't check much into your VHD (just ran it 5 mins and checked diff between your install and my CD based one), but it looks to me that is the floppy version, right ?
You can find updated information/links on how to setup PPP (and not only) connections on different cores and supported OSes here : https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_M ... /computer/
Still missing AtariST and MacPlus, as I never tried to install/configure PPP under these by myself. If anything, please feel free to contribute.
Thank you for this very nice surprise !
Testing it a bit, besides selectable CPU speed/RAM amount, discovered that SymbOS running on Enterprise has now working mouse support.
Most likely. Be sure to get the last version: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/ao486_M ... leases/drv
Besides HOMM, Gob3 and Warcraft2, also tested and found working Fantasy General (nice opera tracks), FX Fighter, Hammer of the Gods (found that dialogs are as tracks), Stone Keep (though it only has two tracks), Shadow Warrior and SideLine
Try that one, full instructions too (for RTG and shared folder): viewtopic.php?p=12186#p12186
