Re: MiSTer Freesync and LG CX TVs - Not Possible?

The test I do is Samurai Shodown 4 on Neogeo. Watch closely the Japanese text on the intro as it scrolls sideways. If it stutters, the TV is shit :P

Re: MiSTer Freesync and LG CX TVs - Not Possible?

Please keep the thread updated. I plan to buy a CX so I would know what I am getting into :)

@Escape-To-88 maybe there is something which is forcing the panel to resample to exactly 60hz?

Re: MiSTer Freesync and LG CX TVs - Not Possible?

Hi all, Having messed around a fair bit with the MiSTer now and having previously owned several CRTS and Freesync monitors I'm just looking to confirm my assumption that using the Freesync function the LG CX OLED TV isn't possible. Using the green VRR button it reports what the core is running e.g. Neo-Geo at 59 and SNES at 60.10 but it says 'FIXE...

Re: MiSTer Freesync and LG CX TVs - Not Possible?

I was planning to buy this TV because I had the impression that it can handle most funky frequencies without resampling to 60hz. So, this is incorrect? For example my 55" Panasonic always stutters when playing Neogeo games because of this reason.

Cannot find vertical crop option

I've spent 15 minutes trying to find the vertical crop lotion in the Amiga core but cannot locate it.

Anyone can point me to the right direction please?

Re: Just purchased a vewlix, for use with my MiSTer

Considering the Vewlix uses a wide-screen and the absolute majority of games on MiSTer are from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras..... Why? Well, I've heard the results are pretty awesome for arcade games via mister which is primarily what I wanted it for. The screen can be rotated with a few mods to play games in tate orientation...people seem be pretty ...

x5 Integer Scaling with cropping + H/V Int. Scaling for arcade cores

I really like x5 integer scaling with cropping as well as H/V integer scaling recently added to many MiSTer cores recently. Can these somehow be added to arcade cores across the board? Thanks!

Depends on the core.

PC Engine = wider
NeoGeo = narrow

Re: The Result of My Search for a Great MiSTer Display

Two things:

1. Does it support 50hz like Amiga and C64 natively? (No stuttering on scrolling)

2. With the exclusion of DoDonPachi nothing is 240p, but less. I find 1080p with cropping a better solution.

How to save bios settings to Japanese?

I use the Unibios settings to change system to Japanese/Arcade (or AES), but everytime it reverts back to "Europe". Is there a way to make this permanent so I can play the uncensored version without having to switch system region every time?

Thanks!

Your display will then scale the resolution in integer increments and fill the bezel vertically. Utilizing the custom aspect ratio settings the MiSTer can control the horizontal resolution being displayed.

Metal Slug 5 glitch

Not sure if this is normal but I have noticed that during the insert coin count down once a game is over, game sprites seem to mess up the numbers on the count down depending of these appear exactly behind the number. Perhaps someone can confirm if this is normal? Thanks!

OSD does not come up automatically

Up until yesterday, every time I loaded up the NeoGeo core, the OSD would come up automatically so I could load a game etc. All of a sudden it doesn't any more and I have to hit F12 to bring it up manually.

Want ideas what could have happened?

Thanks!
