I would love to be able to play lemmings, settlers and other mouse driven games from the couch.

Seems like a low hanging fruit. Other cores use wiimote as guncon so maybe minimig could use it as mouse ?

Maybe I'm bad at searching but I can't figure out how to play as the second player.

Some cores have a "switch joysticks" entry in their OSD but I didn't see any such thing in the arcade cores I have tried.

Can't you just hook it up to the 3.3v pin from the de10-nano ?

I gave it another rework shot after learning that it can work as a 64 mb module with only the U1 ram chip. I removed U2 with hot air and found the bridge which was under the chip in the corner where the silkscreen has come off. I read on on the old forum that you can install only U1 and caps and it will work as a 64 Mb board.

I have confirmed the short between pins 52,53,54 using a multimeter. I just don't see where the problem could be hiding. I have ordered a new pcb and will try to move the components.

If I solder wick the pins and then use hot air will the chips then be clean enough to lay flat on a new pcb ?

I assembled a 128 mb module using the instructions on the wiki. The first time i plugged it in it showed a lot of errors in memtest. So I reflowed the U3 inverter and some pins on the memory chips that looked like they might not have the best contact. I thought it was all arcade cores. That's why.

Maybe it just needs the sdram addon?

I've just gotten a de10-nano with no addons yet and tried some arcade cores with mixed results.
