3DO was a solid system, despite what a couple of vocal windbags on Discord would have you believe. I say go for it, and wish you much luck.

Re: MD+/MSU Games Are Here!
You'd need the MSU-MD patched version. The original patch is no longer hosted on the authors GitHub, but if you do some digging around Archive.org you could probably find a pre-patched copy of it.
Also worth bearing in mind that the MSU-MD patch doesn't have the "heavy damage" improvement code that the MD+ version has.

MD+ isn't supported on MiSTer, unfortunately.

Make sure that if you're submitting any bug reports either to the official Git or to the source of the patches that you're not running anything from ZIP.

Re: MSU-1
There appears to be some issues with PCM looping in the public release, both in regard to the accuracy of the loop points and tracks not looping when they should. There is an audible pop at the some loop points, and that would be because of a lack of zero crossover at the loop point, which also gradually degrades over time the longer the PCM file i...

Re: Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future
I'd just like to see MSU1 added to the SNES core, and MD+ to the Mega Drive. It means I can finally sell the hardware that I have dedicated to those as I'm not at all interested in dealing with ageing hardware problems.

Re: MD+/MSU Games Are Here!
MSU-MD loops aren't seamless, and can only restart a track from the beginning again. It's limited to what actual CD hardware is capable of. MD+ has none of those limitations as it's a new standard developed with FPGA/emulation in mind. It's a true SNES MSU1 equivalent for the Mega Drive/Genesis.

Re: Super Mario World Restored soundtrack ROM
It's not supported in the main SNES core, yet.

dentnz is working on it. There is an early beta release floating around somewhere, but you'll have to search for it.

Re: Super Mario World Restored soundtrack ROM
I'm putting together an MSU1 audio pack over at Zeldix with the blessing of the authors of the restored tracks (there are threads for Zelda and Yoshi's Island, as well). Not all tracks have been released yet, so it's a work in progress but you can use it with Conn's MSU1 patch as it has SPC fallback, so whatever is currently missing... the original...

Re: MSU-1
Is anyone working on MD+ / MSU-MD support for the Genesis core?? The MegaCD core already support MD+/MSU-MD for a while now. Just check here for more info. Unfortunately it doesn't support MD+. It only supports MSU-MD which, as far as the MiSTer goes, has less appeal where I'm concerned. It's fine for flash cartridge usage where you can use it on ...

Re: MSU-1
I see it the same way. It's equivalent to any special chip enhancement such as SA-1 etc. Just because it came out after the SNES' production lifespan doesn't make it any different.

Re: Msu-1
Any word on progress on MSU-1 support in the last few months? dentnz, do you have any new versions or betas/alphas you're working on? As a contributor to the MSU1 scene I'm interested in this, also. Is there a way to get any of previous cores I've seen used in some YouTube videos or have they been private? One thing we could definitely reuse this ...
