I have a backup script in my scripts folder, that I run periodically, that backs up the files to a network share using rsync. Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but that's how I do it.

When I updated to the latest version (v20231011-1), i get an error on the connecting device:
404 page not found

I reverted to the previous version and it works like it should.

So I have a USB wired 'Saffun' controller - it works perfectly (as one might expect) WITH ONE EXCEPTION! Would one of the admins be able to change the color for unread notifications for Prosilver (Dark Edition), so it can be distinguished from read notifications? Right now, you can't tell which are read and which aren't.

I've found by adding this to the MiSTer.ini file, that analog video works much better, at least until there is proper support for the analog IO board: [PSX] vga_scaler=1 video_mode=1280,95,140,187,240,11,0,19,27543 This will change your scaler resolution to 1280x240 and output it through your analog output. I currently use the update script and I have the console cores download to the root of the card, with everything else in the default folders. I like my consoles to be the first thing I see, since that's what I use 99% of the time. Is there an option or will there be an option in the future to change this for the downloader script. I guess I should have said, converting a core into an ASIC or something like that.

Example: Convert the NES core into CPU and PPU replacement chips that can be used to refurbish a broken NES.

Thanks for the info. What got me thinking this is all the clone consoles using bad quality SOCs or 6502 clone chips.

This question is more of a curiosity than anything else. Has anyone converted a MiSTer core into real hardware? For example, build an NES clone console from the NES core. I don't intend on purchasing anything like this. Just curious.

My first attempt at a custom MiSTer case. I integrated the SNAC adapter with NES controller port since that is the only light gun I use and have nostalgia for. Out of sync means the demo doesn't play as expected, but if what vibes says is true, then it's not an issue. I've just never noticed it before until playing it on MiSTer.
