Re: LG C9 OLED & 1920x1440p

Has anyone found a solution to this?

Technically, there shouldn't be anything preventing the C9 from doing 1440p60 (it works on PC), as it has the exact same panel a the CX (which works fine on MiSTer in 1440p60).

Re: LG C9 OLED & 1920x1440p

I got 1200p to work, but the aspect ratio is all messed up...which got me to thinking. 2560x1440p would be the best resolution for a 16:9 native display like the C9, but that will not happen with current MiSTer hardware. I think for now...1080p with integer scaling enabled will have to do (for me). @Zorlac, did you ever get 1920x1440 working on yo...

Re: 8bitdo USB adapter and 8bitdo SN30 combo needs resync after MiSTer is powered on

What is this "SNES retro receiver" of which you speak? I thought 8BitDo only made SN30 controllers that connect to original consoles and the Classic Mini editions, using different 2.4GHz receivers; or to a range of devices, via Bluetooth. https://www.8bitdo.com/retro-receiver-snes/ It's essentially the Bluetooth equivalent of the 2.4 GHz...

Re: 8bitdo USB adapter and 8bitdo SN30 combo needs resync after MiSTer is powered on

I have the 8BitDo M30 2.4GHz USB version (for MD/SG Mini) and I have to re-pair it with its receiver every time I power on the MiSTer. I've tried plugging the receiver into different USB ports on the hub, but the issue persists. Conversely, I have the SN30 BT, paired with an Asus BT adapter, and that one remains paired at all times, so I guess we a...

Gyro Support for Controllers

Is this something that is feasible to implement in MiSTer? Some cores support gyro controls (like the GBA core, by FPGAzumSpass), but they have to be mapped to the analog stick. And since MiSTer already supports a variety of input devices with gyro (DS4, DualSense, Switch controllers, etc.), it would be interesting to have all of their functionalit...

Re: Gyro support for controllers

This would need to be added in the Mister Main. Not sure who else than Sorgelig is able to do handle that. At least i'm not aware it's planned currently. I see. I'll try starting a thread in another forum, then. Regarding the use of gyro controls, I was thinking about the WarioWare games, indeed, which is why I posted here. But they can be extreme...

Re: Filters / Scanlines

There are two issues: (1) Scanlines don't work at 2x integer scaling because at 2x the scaler ends up darkening both upscaled pixels by the same amount due to symmetry. Hey, Soltan. Sorry for digging up this old thread, but I was looking for info on video modes and found your post. I have a 4K LG C9 and have been using the MiSTer in 1920x1080@60Hz...

Re: MiSTer FPGA Gameboy Savestate Preview

Update: everything is implemented now and can be tested. WARNING: This is a beta version, it may crash/hang at any time. I highly recommend to turn off autosave to avoid corruption of your savefiles. Please test and report issues. Thanks for your support. By myself, I tried about 10 different games with rewind, saving and loading probably more tha...

Gyro support for controllers

I know gyro functionality has been added to the core, but it’s mapped to an analog stick.

Is there any way to use gamepads that support gyro (like the DS4, DualSense, Steam and Switch controller) and have them work with the tilt sensor?

Re: Xbox Series/Core Controller

I'm also curious about this ever since I saw that the Xbox One S controller (model 1708) is ranked 4th on MisterAddOns/Porkchop's latency tests, when using the Xbox One Wireless Adapter. I guess this is a recent development, as it certainly wasn't listed as high before. Aside from how's the latency, I wonder if it's even compatible with that adapte...

limi wrote: Wed Dec 02, 2020 6:46 pm Yes, MiSTer got updated to support it recently — although it works as a normal controller, the things that make DualSense special (haptics etc) don’t do anything on the MiSTer.
It works over Bluetooth with any adapter? Any idea what the latency's like?

Re: Fast Track to Good Setup for Newbie

Install this updater script and run it, and you are "all set". You still need to supply your computer and console roms of course, but besides that, this will fix everything for you regarding bios files, mame files, unofficial cores etc. https://github.com/theypsilon/Update_All_MiSTer So, we should use that instead of Mr Fusion, as mentio...

MicroSD Card 100MB/s or 275MB/s?

I have two 128GB microSD cards at my disposal:

1. SanDisk Extreme Plus (up to 100Mb/s)
2. SanDisk Extreme Pro (up to 275MB/s)

Which one should I use?

Common sense would point towards the fastest one, but I’m not sure if there are any compatibility issues or if it even makes any difference on MiSTer.
