Re: Multiple MiSTers on The Same Network
A router, and rest of the network, will see MAC addresses over WiFi just as they would via wired connectivity. Wired or wifi, you don't want duplicate MAC addresses, as that upsets switches and arp tables. While true, an off the shelf wifi adapter will have its own unique MAC burned, so you wouldn't need to set the MAC in this case. True, since th...

Re: A case for 5x vertical crop in 1080p mode.
I just updated and tested the 5x crop in NES, Genesis, and SNES so far, and it look great, and scrolls much smoother. It also makes things easier to see on the sofa furthest from the TV (about 18' away.) I also saw that there is an offset option which I'm sure will come in handy for some edge case games, but what isn't clear is if the offset settin...

Not directly maybe, I think its about the... do not remember what it is called on a disk, but I guess RAM has the same. A minimum file size or something that helps with how it is all indexed. The larger it is the faster it is to search through different blocks of memory, the smaller it is, the more efficient it is it for the storage of small files...

Re: Composite Adapter for MiSTer
I gotta come back for this since I feel like I'm being literally gaslighted on this, and people are incorrectly being led to believe I'm delusional or something or just misremembering. I never intended to imply or give that idea to anyone, and I apologize if I came across that way, as that's not how I feel. I don't have the adapter in question so ...

Re: Colecovision Keypad Keys?
But I'm guessing it wouldn't be trivial to have two separate input devices acting as a single logical input. Right now MiSTer uses a 1:1 devices:controllers map, and whatever controller gets its button pushed first is mapped to P1, and whatever device is hit second maps to P2. With a change like this, it could get really messy with MiSTer not know...

Re: Composite Adapter for MiSTer
Been reading through this thread, and while I understand the desire to have absolutely perfect-like-original output, it really feels to me like people really forget how inconsistent composite (as well as S-video and esepcially RF) could be. I remember back in the 90s of doing an experiment with a couple of friends, who each brought their NES (USA f...

Re: Atari 2600
@gordonfish Jr. Pacman is a SuperChip cart so just change the extension to .00s Thanks, that did it! [1] I didn't realize the file extension would make that difference. (I guess I should have read the this part of the README.md a bit closer :) ) I've also never seen .00s in any Atari emulator before, nor was I too keen on what games use SuperChip....

Re: Atari 2600
I was trying Jr. Pac-Man for Atari 2600 on my MiSTer and while other ROMs all seem to run fine (including regular Pac-Man ), Jr. Pac-Man seems to have a strange issue, where pellets do not disappear when they are eaten. The same rom works fine in Stella and RetroArch on my computer; the pellets correctly vanish upon being consumed. I have enclosed ...
