I'm going to have to spend some time on this as well. The last Linux update borked my MiSTer and now I can't run any of the scripts due to no NTP.

I've been running into this exact same issue, but mine will fail the first time and then succeed after.
I'm using the WiFi / Bluetooth adapter that Misteraddons sells and it was perfect for months/years? Something changed and now it does this on the first try every boot.

I'm having issues with just about every core + menus when trying to use this resolution with sync=0. I'm using a Laserbear setup and a certified 4K HDMI cable. Am I foolish to try ordering a different DE10? I've already tried a couple cable swaps. You can ask Laserbear for some help. I've only seen problems with the cheap boards from china. Thanks...

Anyone having issues with CPS2 cores losing sync at 2048x1536? Some boards will not work at native (2048x1536) resolution and sync = 0. Try with a lower res or sync = 2.
