Re: SID Updates!

So, how hard/impossible would it be to create a SID Synth core with 12 channels output and midi support? :) I was working on this a while back (haha, 2 years ago), just my thrift store Casio keyboard quit working so this is about as far as I got. I was going to try and add the FM sound expander as another channel. --> https://www.youtube.com/watch...

A bit like this dude did with a MegaDrive, just done in FPGA and with Midi control

Re: MiSTerFPGA.co.uk

Bummer :( I've been studying a little bit on the matter, and it seems that until 'all systems are stable' even on a small business level, one might get charged with UK VAT on top. That would make purchasing from the UK in the next days, the most expensive proposition ever (I mean having a 50% surcharge, disregarding shipping, + the exorbitant 'adm...

Re: MiSTerFPGA.co.uk

Sneak peek of the MT32-pi top plate! You're onto it Nat! That said, I've a (rather OT) question that's been bugging me, and since I haven't ordered anything from the UK (into the EU) after the 1st, maybe you can clarify it: what happens with VAT? I mean is it still levied upon purchase as before, or have we to go through customs? If it's the latte...

Re: mister-fpga.de

You all have it rough over there in Europe. 180 euros for de10-nano + 32MB SDRAM... My condolences, those prices are tough. Looks like a solid seller, glad to see more people contributing this way. I paid roughly the same in Euro for my build as i would have from MisterAddons in dollars, with everything factored in from "buying power" VA...

Re: mister-fpga.de

I bought my MISTer from https://www.mister-fpga.de/ as well, i can whole hearted recommend Andy. Been having fun running the Amiga Core, being really bad at Space Invaders and putting my son to shame in Galaga where experience to my surprise beats his vastly superior reflexes.

Re: SDRAM new tests

I want to share a test for signal integrity that doesn't require special equipment. This test gives some information about signal integrity in the SDRAM. This is a relative test: more is better. The idea is to have a single core compiled with different SDRAM clock shift settings. Although indeed, the exact delay up to the pin is not well controlle...

Re: SDRAM new tests

Just passing the RAM/ROM test at the game boot-up screen is enough. It's surprising that for some people all the files are good. By the way, two people with no-failures for any of these MRA files told me they lived in areas with low population density (and hence less RF noise). Thank you. I'm gonna test every one of the files just to be sure. My h...

Re: SDRAM new tests

I ran the tests with the lowest ps and highest ps, it seems that the games, in my case at least, runs just fine no matter what core I choose?
