When you're in the OSD menu for the core, press right. It should change to another menu and there should be an option to map core buttons.

Re: Vigilante - weird screen size / location behaviour

A lot of arcade games had to have their CRTs adjusted for that particular board when it was installed. It was expected since there wasn't really a standard.

Re: The State of DACs for the MiSTer and Direct Video

I wonder if the difference in IO boards might have something to do with the resistor packs not being soldered well enough. I had this issue with my first IO board (v5.5) with the audio not having stereo output. I managed to fix it by reflowing the resistors for it.

The filtering didn't even blur the image so this is not N64 final output (the AA pass is missing but I don't think I'll use the AA pass to be honest XD), it just looks amazing!

I think it was the dithering filter that made everything blury when combined with AA. Hopefully we'll be able to turn it off like we can in the Playstation core.

I've had good luck with Beeshu Zipper controllers. That said, for NES you can get USB adapters that work fantastic with low enough latency you can't tell the difference. I use the retrousb adapter with mine. https://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=158 Also make sure you have the mouse turned off for the Zapper in the menu.

I'm really digging this. Can anyone tell me if I'm missing how to flip the vertical view? Unfortunately, my monitor flips only one way and it isn't the way this game is oriented. So, I've been going horizontal only.

You can flip the screen in the dip switch settings. Reset the game to make it take effect.

Not every arcade pcb has a core for it. Cores are written for boards and play the games developed for those boards. That's why you don't see those games.

Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...

This is awesome. Even if it isn't perfect 1 - 1 recreation of the hardware, I still feel like it should be possible to create something that can run the games. I think the N64 was kind of a bloated turd hardware wise. I love the system, but spec wise it should have been more powerful than it was. Good luck Robert.

You might give some place like northridgefix a call to replace your USB port. They fix all kinds of odd hardware including key fobs and GPUs. They also have a youtube channel if you want to see what kind of work they do.

I've had trouble with an I/O board's stereo sound not working. It was a bad solder connection on one of the resistor packs that needed reflowing.

Yea, I'm running a separate usb board with a splitter cable. You don't want a bunch of stuff trying to pull power through the DE10s micro usb port.

Re: Recommended Power Supply for MiSTer?

The one a lot of people recommend and the one I use is the Meanwell GST25A05-P1J. If you're running a lot of USB stuff and an external USB HDD like I am, then you definitely need something better than the original DE10 nano supply. You can get them off Ali Express for a decent price it looks like assuming they're legit.

Setting Up VRR

I'm trying to get vrr setup on my mister. The monitor I'm using is a Dell s2522hg. It's native output is 1080p and a refresh rate of 240Hz. My question is do I need to set the vrr min/max settings or can I just leave them not set? Any other suggestions or recommendations for setting up VRR is also welcome.

Could you please check the size of the floppy image? Older BIOS cannot read large size images. We have confirmed that it is currently working at 360kb. https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?t=5421 If you are using a 1.44 MB image, please use micro8088bios. Thanks for the replies. So far it looks like the 80MB is going to be plenty. I've got the PCXT running off it, but the Tandy setting just ignores it. I guess that bios isn't able to boot from HDD maybe? Anyway, I've found a Tandy 1000 boot disk in the .dsk format that I've converted to .img. I'm going to try it out in a bit, hopefully it works.
