Re: AmigaVision/MegaAGS 2023.04.05 Released!
No, it’s not made for non-AGA Amigas. It would be possible to make the script create configurations only for OCS/ECS, but it hasn’t been something we have prioritized so far. Actually there was support for creating an OCS version of the image early on. :) But the result really was too slow to be enjoyable. Well, that may be true for a A500 with a ...

Thanks for the info, i feared that moment
Nevertheless it would be very nice to have an ECS version for all those pimped A600/500 out there .

Re: AmigaVision/MegaAGS 2023.04.05 Released!
Speaking about compatibility: Does the AGS side work with ECS Amigas (e.g. an A600 with Kick 3.1).
Because older versions did not like non AGA machines ...

Re: Is My MiSTer Dead?
Did you try to remote connect to your Mister (e.g. use WinSCP)?
If that works, your Mister ist not dead .
After connecting, try running reboot.sh from the scripts folder.

Re: No Video Out After Power Cycle
Ah...analog...a small detail :) What are you conneting to and with what cable? :-) You are right, i should have mentioned that before. Standard VGA cable/connector on both sides to a full-HD BENQ 20" LCD. Instead of entirely new install, can you try with fresh mister.ini? Did not try a fresh mister.ini. But how should that make a difference b...

Re: No Video Out After Power Cycle
Have you tried starting from scratch with another SD? Nope, because this would be the third time in 4 month. There must be a better solution than a "complete new setup" workaround. It works for 2 or 3 updates after starting afresh, but then video out is gone again. And i really do not understand why a simple reboot "solves" the...

No Video Out After Power Cycle
My Mister does not show any video after a power cycle, but everything else seems to work. Thus SSH is possible and by running the reboot.sh script (from the Scripts folder), the Mister reboots and the video signal is restored in all it's glory afterwards! Till the next power cycle ... How come? Any explaination for that strange behaviour? Thanks fo...

In my case, the mister boots and i can access the the filesystem with SSH. But no Video out. Thus i can grab all logfiles.

Re: No longer getting video output after update
Additional info/correction: It's enough to write boot only (files are not needed) with v20210917 and video out works again.
This is reproducible: Every time update_all updates to v20211112 video out is lost (at least with my setup). It still works after the reboot after the update. But after a complete power cycle video out is gone.

Re: Cannot boot after upgrade
There is a small chance this doesn't work still. I'd recommend to format the card in that case. You don't need to format, it's enough if you use "MiSTer SD Card Utility.exe" and write boot + files to your mSD. But you have to use an older version e.g. release_20210917. And the chance you have to do that is a rather big "small" ...

Re: No longer getting video output after update
This is very strange, but someone already described that as a TEMPORARY workaround:
Writing boot+files with version 20210917 brings back video output.
It seems that v20211112 had something unwanted in the belly.
Is'nt that the version that introduced shadow masks (which are part of the video output)?

Re: No longer getting video output after update
Ok, that's not good: Even a brand new setup didn't help, still get a black screen.
SSH and SFTP are working though, microSD is fully accessible.
Which log shows if there is a problem with video out?

Re: No longer getting video output after update
I'm sorry, but it's NOT fixed!
No video output after updating here, too.
And before the update i switched to the "new" updater, thus i'm pretty sure the new one messed up the video output.
Suggestions? (except for a brand new setup from the beginning and avoiding the new updater, because that's the easy but boring way out )

Re: USB Ethernet Adapter Device Driver
In my case (pun intended) the USB ports are on the left, right and back side. LAN port is only on the back side. VGA and HDMI are in front.
So literally USB is 3 times more comprehensive than LAN!

Re: USB Ethernet Adapter Device Driver
exactly how much clearance do you need? a svelte cable could be made by crimping naked twisted pairs into the connector combined with trimming away the excess material after the strain relief, so that the plug may sit flush with the socket. Yes, one can do that. It still looks strange and it somehow solves the problem just for that one. An USB2LAN...

Re: USB Ethernet Adapter Device Driver
The standard LAN port is somehow unfavorable placed (opposite side of video output) and ethernet cables are not the most flexible (even if UTP). The USB adapter would help with cable laying and would increase port placement flexibility. Another option for you--a flat ethernet cable. Super flexible, and you can run it right under the MiSTer and up ...

It seems the USB to ethernet support is deactivated in the kernel (which is default).
Any chance to switch it on / include it?

Re: MiSTer in the Commodore 65 / MEGA65 wedge case
Yes, but the Mega65 project is serious about a REAL floppy. And the additional floppy space makes the case somehow bulky.
But to each his own ...
