Re: Spectrum Next Games?

Only as backorder. Can be years before release. Do not need a physical copy, digital download prefered. You seem like a guy on a mission to "catch 'em all". I've done this twice now, once to update "SpectrumComputing" and the zxdb database, and then again playing catchup for my own collection. Fairly recently (late January). I'...

Re: eXo/Flynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates (Updated to 2.0.2 MyMenu) and Support

I'm kinda in the middle i guess. Although no expert, i know Amiga OS to some degree, playing with libs and datatypes, startup-sequences etc. and i also played around with DOS configs, autexecs, IRQs, DMAs yada yada. But i've "been there, done that"... I can't be bothered to get my hands dirty and go through that pain any more. On my MiSTe...

https://www.clivetownsend.com/next/ - Nice directory, mostly with direct downloads or at least a link. https://www.specnext.com/software-directory/ - Another good list, but not up to date. https://www.rustypixels.uk/category/spectrum-next/ - Released quite a few demos and "stuff". Have to look through their blog posts. https://spectrumcom...

Re: Amiga 16-bit AHI audio support

Hi, I am working on my own Minimig project, and implemented a partial Toccata sound card in SystemVerilog. The card only does playback of audio, since recording doesn't make much sense in my project. Given that it works in my Minimig project, it might be of interest for the Mister project as well. https://github.com/ranzbak/fpga-toccata I don't ow...

Re: eXo/Flynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates (Updated to 2.0.2 MyMenu) and Support

Hi. What's the current status of this project. All i've been reading about in this thread (skimmed a lot granted), is problems loading games. I read about the ISOs not working, then getting fixed in the core. Is this correct? How many games are included in this "top 300" that still don't work today? Why were they included if they don't wo...

Re: MiSTer Wallpapers

Browsing round the Discord this morning, had a sneak through the wallpapers section and spotted this one that made me get inspired with all the recent buzz around N64. All credit to M.Walrus who posted the original (attached at the bottom) of a nice exploded N64 + Controller. All i did was resize, flatten the background colours a little, add the di...

Re: Weird Behaviour From the ZX81 Core

Hi Richard. I knew my post was a long shot. Sometimes its the easiest thing though so had to throw it out there even though i knew it sounded condescending. There are plenty of people who hang around these parts (or jump on other emulators) who never experienced these systems/consoles first time round and can be quite clueless when it comes to oper...

Re: Weird Behaviour From the ZX81 Core

No-one seems to have answered your question here. If you press F12 and check the options, for games like 3D Monster Maze and Mazogs, you're gonna need 16k ram. If its set to 1k, you'll have issues :) I've played with the ZX81 core quite a bit as it was my first machine back in 1982, Mazogs was one of my favourites. I don't recall what the initial d...

Re: Screen Glitching After Script Launching

Sorry no. Still have issue. I imagine setting MiSTer up from scratch will sort it, it probably is some settings stuck somewhere conflicting with newer ones, the issue for me though is not just with Sega cores, it happens on the main menu on first boot! Don't think its my Main Mister.ini, as i deleted that and let the downloader plop a new one in pl...

Thanks for the answers. I've seen your "can anyone find these" list on eab, i visit there every day (just like i do here) to keep up with whats going on. I suppose i have 3 main machines that have dominated my life. ZX Spectrum, Amiga and Gamecube, but so many others have featured in between too. The ZX81 was my first machine, aged 10. I ...

Re: A New Amiga Game Collection

Hi Akeley. I haven't downloaded this collection, but i am very curious about it. I do love a good Amiga collection, MegaAGS is my goto on the MiSter but as you've said, its heavily WHDLoad based and ADF games are bit more "manual" in the newly added base core setups. MegaAGS has a very nice demoscene collection in it too though which stan...

we might see games running on it in the next few months!

That seems very optimistic, but i guess it depends on how "many" months is still "few"

If you don't get the entire library working flawlessly within 6 months, you aren't doing it right ;)

Re: Slow Transfer Speeds from MiSTer to PC

I know this thread is a little old, but found it via googling for WinSCP transfer speeds to Mister. I wanted to speed things up a bit as 40-400kb isn't good enough when transferring 10gb files :) So... Just changed my protocol from SFTP (seemed to be capped around 400kb/sec) to FTP in the WinSCP connection manager. Now i'm getting a little over 5mb...

I can grab screenshots via WinUAE on PC but have no Amiga/Python scripting knowledge. I can also grab demo/game screenshots via MegaAGS if theres a "grab screen" option in Mister? I output to a 1080p 65" TV over HDMI, if the game runs correctly via MegaAGS and you set me on the right path, then i have some time to give and would enjo...

+1 on this. My sister and I had Octopus and Parachute back in 1981 i think. Mine was Octopus and after playing all the others i still think its one of the best. 2 screen Donkey Kong is brilliant though, and Marios Cement Factory, Mario Bros.... Hell they're all great :)

Thanks! Coming from an older version and did the the reinstall as on the Amiga bison website mentioned. Now I’ve two Amiga Entries in my core menu. One entry is without a date. Any idea? Me too. i think its due to using the "better names" from update_all and its renaming your minimig entry to "Amiga", hence two after alls done.

I have had this issue, you have to re-enable it, then reboot, then disable it again. It was related to an older 3rd party "update all" script, at least thats what Sorgelig told me.
