Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.12.25 Released with Updated Game Configurations

Off topic but I can't find anywhere else to ask, and trust me I've tried (not even had any joy in the PiStorm Discord).

Does anyone know how to get this working on a real Amiga1200 with PiStorm32-lite? I think it's down to the filesystem used but can't be sure. Last version that worked was 2023.04.05.

Re: AmigaVision (MegaAGS) 2023.12.25 Released with Updated Game Configurations

Is there a way to default the menu screen to PAL?
It's always NTSC on a real Amiga and there doesn't seem to be a way to change this.

Is there a way to get the "|\" key and the "£¤" key on this core from a standard keyboard?

QL: Transferring Files [Solved]

I've recently started messing about with the QL core and have made some progress, including getting Xchange running from the QXL.WIN image but is there any way to transfer files from my computer to the QL, eg. by manipulating the .win or .mdv images from a Linux or Windows computer? I've done some searching but have yet to come up with anything tha...

Re: Tatung Einstein TC-01 Developer Update

Watching a real hardware stream tonight, Lazy Jones was played and the music was fine (it's static noise on the MiSTer core). I figured out how to get it emulated under MAME and the music on that, with the same disk image, is fine. Is this a known problem with the audio in the core? Just about every other game he played matched the MiSTer core perf...

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

This core is based on Andy's Rememotech project and I think it's making some compromises. Retape is one of those. Sound is also off, but I'm still impressed at what we have here. I could make possible suggestions to any dev willing to pick this up but I don't know how workable they'd be. Eg. it could use the retape function to load mtx files (selec...

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

The site is back up so I can now figure out the instructions really easy, however retape does not seem to work at all. I've tried both with a mounted vhd and using the secondary sdcard. Is the retape command supported by the core for slot storage?

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

As a workaround I can get it working by using slot 0, but do I actually need the external SD card to use retape properly?
If so that'll have to wait. My smallest spare card is 32GB and it's on loan ;)

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

I've managed to get the rememotech.zip file, created a vhd and can load .com games, but retape isn't working. I first mounted the vhd (created with cat sddisc.bin sddisc1.bin >sddisc.vhd) then mtx and reset, which now boots from B: I have tested with pacman and that's fine but when I try to add a file to the virtual cassette manager it just sits th...

Does anyone still have a vhd for this core? The dev site no longer seems to exist.
It appears to have been self hosted on a Sky Broadband connection. I don't know if it's been deliberately abandoned or if the IP address had changed but the DNS entry hasn't.

Re: New Camputers Lynx 48 & 96K Core for MiSTer

No need, it worked. I was just pointing out my process. Now I just have to figure out how to get a loud and clean enough output to save successfully ;) Actually I think the problem is with the input on the computer line-in picking up noise from the motherboard (integral audio). I've also tried a USB sound device for input but it's really cheap so I...

Re: New Camputers Lynx 48 & 96K Core for MiSTer

I just discovered this. For loading I tried "Oh Mummy". As a Linux used I ran "./lynx2wav -5 Oh\ Mummy\!\!\ \(1983\)\(Gem\ Software\)\(GB\).tap ohmummy.wav" Volume was 80% (I had success with that on the Otic core) and I use the normal Linux play command with headphones socket connected to audio-in. TAPE 5 first on all attempts....

BBC Micro Saving to Disk

Last night I found out about the backport of the Master version of Elite to the standard BBC B. So gave it a go. Bought stuff, hyperspaced, jumped, docked, sold, reequipped all find, then saved. Error. Tried with a blank ssd. Still errored. So I tried outside Elite and get the same issue. I'm unable to save to any ssd (they're not (L)ocked) without...

Not tried contacting the store yet but have ordered a 5GHz adaptor that's listed as compatible on the main Github page.

RTL8192 Wifi Not Connecting [Solved]

I've just received a WiFi dongle from misterfpga.co.uk. It's an RTL8192, which should be supported. Indeed, it shows local SSIDs but won't connect. All looks OK in the log, the module appears to be loading correctly but when I ssh in and manually try to bring up the interface it times out waiting for carrier. It's not the key/password because it's ...

I just purchased a Madcatz SFIV Arcade Fightstick which has been modified with Sanwa parts. It works fine on my Linux Desktop but isn't even registering any input on the MiSTer. Thank you MiSTer_Kirk. I'm pretty new to MiSTer and learning fast but the creation and update of the cores themselves will always remain a mystery. Hopefully this can point those who know what they're doing to find and fix these issues which can only improve this incredible core.

Some words from Richard Broadhurst to aid in the hunt for a solution: I'm happy to help however I can. Scramble looks like a 6845/vsync interrupt timing issue, which will affect the others too. Canyon bomber looks like the same issue plus maybe having the video ula mapped to more than just fe20/21. Canyon bomber also supports video NuLA. Try frogge...
