Re: Sinden Lightgun

My two guns just arrived, doesn’t look like there is any support yet? I am assuming the software that is for pi / windows would need to be ported to the fpga?

Re: Fitting RTC - 18 pin connector on 14 pin header WTF?

It's an 18pin header socket just with 14 pins connected... Think about what you just asked. Do you really think a header the right size to fit a socket needed to be moved sideways and the socket cut away to fit? I am not a effing idiot - that's why i asked, to check, these are what all the RTC clock modules are like. Basically folks are selling RT...

Re: Fitting RTC - 18 pin connector on 14 pin header WTF?

I don't have an RTC board myself, but it looks to me that it should be a matter of lining up the plastic of the connector to fit inside the header, so that only the centre 14 holes on the connector actually are mating with pins. all header in all electronics i have ever done you line p1 with p1 - thats not possible in this case so totally non intu...

Re: Fitting RTC - 18 pin connector on 14 pin header WTF?

Thanks, Yes look at the LTC header, count the pins on the LTC header then go count the pins on any of the RTC clock modules you see for sale - the clock module has more pins. The answer it turns out it center justified, also the pressure of the connector on the outside edges of the header plastic (plastic you see around the pins) will break the pla...

Fitting RTC - 18 pin connector on 14 pin header WTF?

Ok so the RTC has 18pin connector, the DE board has a 14 pin header. None of the guides i have found detail what the pin alignment should be, can anyone shed some light - there are 3 options for how it can be connected. a) centered b) post side justified c) ram side justified My DE board- has a plastic shroud around the pins so if pin 1 is marked i...

Re: Problem setting up mt32-Pi hat

I just got mine. No power issues at all. Using short usb3 (25cm) cable and powering the whole lot via the barrel connector on the IO board and a *good* powersuppply. Where i did have issues was while the MT32-pi looked like it was well seated on the PI i found that the header connections is a little iffy - so for example i had a situation where i c...

Re: MT32-PI Synth Unavailable!

I have brand new MT32-pi with two buttons, i only have the default font but can select SF0 using the buttons just fine.
Are you sure you got the settings in the config file right?

Re: ao486 wish-list

another +1 for gravis ultrasound - and not just for demo scene. I once owned one of these along with a sound blaster and LAPC-I and the gravis, in the games that supported it has: 1) interesting different set of wavetable synthesis - different to LAPC-I etc 2) higher quality sample rates IIRC 3) more digital voices (32 IIRC) 4) ability to use (and ...

Digital IO How Do I Connect The Power?

Ok i am already to do https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki/Setup-Guide But before that i am confused about all the power ports. I got the digital i/o bundle from mister addon, it states "Power Splitter + Switch (Standard IO only - not needed for Digital IO" In my box i have a powersplitter+switch cable, a two ended power cable...
