Hooking up an info display
I want to tinker a bit with my case and am wondering how to approach my idea of adding a small info display, similar to what you find on some older HTPCs. Something like this: https://blog.tastatursport.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/lcd_detail-500x132.jpg For starters, the display should display the name of the System that is currently run or even ...

ED Error linked to bios files not where games are (USB SSD)
EDIT: And just after posting, I found the error. I put the games on the USB attached external SSD but the bios on the MiSTer SD card. This caused the problem. Putting the bios into the folder on the SSD fixed it. Now it starts. No sound yet, so I need to figure this out next but progress. Will edit the topic subject line, so that people who only r...

Re: Switch to USB mode - requirements
However, what didn't work for me, was moving the whole _CPS2 folder I set up to the root of the USB. Because the folder mixes roms and cores, it seems to not work - or did anyone manage to get this to work?

Re: Switch to USB mode - requirements
Help needed , looking back at jca’s posts. I have a usb stick so I can put some cores on that as run out of space on my sd card. Can this be done ? I only want to store the psx games. So can I delete the PSX folder on the sd card and create one on the usb stick so mister would automatically detect ? I formatted the stick on windows laptop then a f...

Re: MiSTer ITX Ironclad Plus Build
I think it's the one from Ultimatemister - nothing fancy. There#s no real height requirement other than it must be ITX, so that a standard I/O shield fits the case, rather than the reduced height "Thin ITX". Sorry for the late reply.

If that's what you mean, someone put a MiSTer Setup in the Shell of a Neo Geo X: viewtopic.php?t=1377

Re: Neo Geo CD
Just wanted to do a quick +1 that I think it would be awesome to have MiSTer support Neo Geo CD. Not looking to debate what is better or inferior, I am interested in completeness, conservation, preservation and simply exploring a catalogue I never had the chance to explore in the best possible way. So any dev who wants to make it happen: Please do ...

Re: Switch to USB mode - requirements
For the latest news on Switch to USB go to the Linux sub-forum which seems to be more appropriate. Right, seems more appropriate. I will watch closely as my initial motive for asking was to find out if moving to fully operate from HDD wouldn't make most sense considering the limited lifetime of SD cards. Please understand that I was under the impr...

Re: Advice for HDMI Users
Ideally we get an option in cores to adjust speed to run at exactly 60hz. I had a similar issue with Neogeo core but a kind soul has modified the core and now it runs perfectly smooth on any display. Analogue consoles also come with this option out of the box, so it can be done Either you are replying to the wrong topic or I don't see the connecti...

Switch to USB mode - requirements
I know you now can easily store roms on a USB HDD. However, I am curious to learn more about the "switch to USB mode" option to fully operate from a HDD. However, I can't seem to find any documentation on Github or anywhere else. Anyone able to hook me up? Thanks!

Re: MiSTer Neo Geo X
Mister Neo Geo X y7q9U9i.jpg Does it work over the Mini HDMI port of the dock? Because I tested with two different cables an I do not get a picture. Cables and the Mini HDMI adapter cable I tested on a PS4 and works fine, or are there settings in the INI that I have to turn on? The factory Mini-HDMI port likely only works if you supply power via t...

Re: Can confirm Astro City Mini Arcade Stick works with MiSTer
Any input delay in fighting games like on NEO-GEO and CPS1? No scientific tests conducted but I didn't observe anything that feels like (noticeable) input lag. Would a layout like this be comfortable for Neogeo on this stick: BCD A That's exactly how I set mine up and how I want to convert my dedicated stick. I will use Sanwa Buttons in Red, green...

Can confirm Astro City Mini Arcade Stick works with MiSTer
Hey guys, in case anyone else except me was wondering - I just wanted to quickly confirm that today I was able to test the newly released Astro City Mini Arcade Stick from Segatoys ( https://amzn.to/34A3yRM ) and I can confirm that it works with MISTer. Think this might be interesting because AFAIK Segatoys doesn't tell what it's compatible with ot...

Re: F1 doesn't work on Mr Fusion installation
I have done 3 Mr. Fusion installs since the latest release and haven't had this problem. What's your setup like? (keyboard, other devices attached, how are you connecting via usb, etc...) Figured it out. It was due to some mister.ini mis-config. I don't know what exactly caused this but I originally used an ini I made via https://ini.misterkun.io/...

F1 doesn't work on Mr Fusion installation
Hi there. On my previous installs (all manual), F1 worked as it should. I now tried the Mr Fusion installer on a new install and while everything works as it should, F1 doesn't do anything. Any ideas?
