Re: Depricated.
When I push CTRL+F, in the bottom right it shows 27 games marked "not working" after the latest pushed update. Does this match everyone else's experience? The Archive.org page says "Update v.7.3 now uses ! and we are down to 20 games not working." I thought there must be a problem with my install so I literally re-downloaded and...

Re: Most roguelikes not working (CWSDPMI?)
If anyone can figure out how to get DoomRL to run properly, please let me know! The game boots but crashes after you enter your character name and some text is displayed.

Re: Most roguelikes not working (CWSDPMI?)
QEMM with QEMM's QDPMI.SYS loaded seems to do the trick. Thanks Spicer!

Most roguelikes not working (CWSDPMI?)
I decided to try out the roguelike genre in ao486 and copied some games over such as ADOM, NetHack and a few others. All of them seem to lock up instantly on launch, stuck on the DOS screen and completely unresponsive. The only one I could get to load was the Epyx version of the original Rogue. I noticed the ones that lock up are all bundled with C...

Re: eXoFlynn Top 300 DOS Pack Updates and Support
This pack is allowing me to relive some fond childhood memories. Thank you so much flynnsbit!
I have one question. Is there a tutorial somewhere for adding our own games into the mix, but without breaking compatibility with future updates?
Edit: Spoke too soon. Just discovered the "manually added games" tutorial here.

Re: MidiLink REALLY wants to use USB serial
After many more hours of testing today, here’s what worked for me for perfect MT-32 playback on Space Quest 1 and 4 (and possibly other Sierra games of that generation). This balances game performance with perfect music performance, with no buffer errors or checksum errors: Performance settings: 56 or 90mhz CPU (30mhz gets stuttering in game, 90mhz...

Re: MiSTer MidiLink
I've been trying for 2 days to get Space Quest 1 VGA or SQ4 to work on my MT32 without generating a "Exc. Checksum Error" message on the MT32 at launch. I do have "DELAYSYSEX = TRUE" set in /media/fat/linux/MidiLink.INI which I thought was supposed to avoid these presumably speed related issues. I'm using the official Roland USB...

Re: MidiLink REALLY wants to use USB serial
I decided this morning to play some Space Quest 1 VGA and use my real MT32 for good measure. 8 hours of hair-pulling later, I discovered this exact same problem and found the exact same solution (manually deleting /tmp/ML_SERMIDI and manually creating /tmp/ML_USBMIDI). I've got to tell you it feels so good to realize I'm not alone! Another tip, SQ1...
