Re: USB Hub - poor USB connectivity
Thanks for your interest, Legacy Pixels, I appreciate it. How is your USB board powered? I use the power splitter method with an inline switch. Can you post a picture of it? Yes, I can. MISTer Power.jpg Have you talked to the builder of your board? No, not yet. I was hoping for some "turn it upside-down for 30 mins" or "use the 1st U...

Re: USB Hub - poor USB connectivity - Problem Persists
My previous response advising all resolved was a little hasty and I'm still looking for some guidance. My MISTer was working fine for the first few months and I was getting a lot out of it. In the last couple of months, with no other significant changes, the MISTer just does not accept input reliably. I only have a single USB device connected - key...

Re: USB Hub - poor USB connectivity
My thanks to you Threepwood. It appears the problem is that the USB ports have too much 'wiggle' and if the PS3 controller connector is not aligned dead straight, then none of the USB peripherals work. That explains some of the random results. It was while testing whether single devices work that I found the problem, so they were good diagnostic po...

USB Hub - poor USB connectivity [Resolved]
Weird problem here. I can only use usb devices every 5-8 power cycles. I have a wired PS4 controller, a USB mini-keyboard and a KVM keyboard and mouse set up. They either all work or none of them work. Any pointers on where to start investigating? I've switched ports, pressed keys during power on and switched devices. Also, does the Reset button on...

Survey completed. Is the ao486 missing from the Machines You Played in the Day deliberately or is it an omission?
Good survey with some good questions, I look forward to seeing how to the data will be used.

No, not so far. The systems I dropped have disappeared from the rotation. Have you edited the right version of the ini? It should be in Scripts.Ross_Jolet wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 10:32 pm I’ve modified the .ini file several times not to include the cd systems, yet it still runs those systems. Is anyone else having this problem?

This was great and really easy to set up. Thanks for all the work!

It sounds like you're doing everything right. I have an SDRAM board and can confirm Master System is working well.

That was really interesting. I wonder if one could just patch one's own, local version without all the Github palaver?

That looks great! I hadn't seen an Apple IIC before but the small form factor works really well as the inspiration for your case.

Re: Ultimarc J-PAC issues w/15 kHz monitor
I have the same combo and everything works ok. I had to adjust a few settings, especially brightness.
For me there was too much pissing about between games for it to be a workable alternative to groovymame but it did work.

Re: Preserving Arcade Core High Scores
I know it's not the outcome the OP was looking for but there is an app called Arcade Sidekick that allows you to track your hiscores.
You can rate games, find other scores to compete against, join clubs and more.

Re: A few questions about MiSTer FPGA's capabilities
You might be better with a MISTerCADE which has the JAMMA pinouts built in. That would give you the physical cabinet connection you're looking for.

Re: How often/regularly do you use the MiSTer?
A couple of times a week. I've messed with emulators for years and played the hell out of all my favourites like the Amiga and Megadrive for years. I've set myself up with a Pokemon-style mission - to play the most important games on their native hardware. e.g. Castle Wolfenstein on Apple II, Zarch on Archimedes, Metal Gear on MSX, Space War on PDP...

Re: Display Problems on BBC Core
I'd love to help but I can only replicate the same issue. It would be good to move Tricky's games onto the vhd suggested in this thread and try running them under that configuration to make sure it's not a MISTer Core settings issue but I cannot work out how to mount both vhds to cope them across. Secondly, I am aware that there were a couple of HD...
