Re: How Does the N64 Turbo Core Work?

Robert said this on the latest release

same as above, overclocked components: RSP/RDP 62.5->80mhz, CPU 93.75->120Mhz, DDR3 125 -> 160Mhz
VI and CPU Timer speed is adjusted to let most games run at the same speed as the normal core but with higher fps.
Don't report bugs with this version, only use for fun

Re: N64 Core

Is this core available in update all ? Is N64 on the updater script yet? I'm still not seeing it in my menu. Not currently. You have to add a line to downloader.ini [n64_dev] db_url = https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RobertPeip/Mister64/db/db.json.zip NOTE this is downloader.ini not any other file. You will also need to obtain the bios files

I am having problems with the DualSDRAM versions from 20240315 and 20240318. Whenever I launch them I just get thrown back to the MiSTer main menu. Older DualSDRAM versions look fine and the singleRAM version von 20240315 also works.
Anybody else having trouble with these nightlies?

It was broken for a while The latest one was fine though

Related with this... Is there a reason why single ram and dual ram cores for PSX are not combined? I mean, in dual ram you have the option of selecting the SPU Ram whereas in the single ram that option is grey out and can't be changed: https://mister-devel.github.io/MkDocs_MiSTer/cores/highlights/psx/#spu-ram-select I'm sure there's a reason for t...

I've recently obtained a MiSTer and think it's fantastic. Started with consoles but have been playing around with the A0486 core since I discovered it was a thing as I cut my teeth on DOS gaming. I managed to install the Top 300 DOS games pack and noticed that one of my favourite childhood games is there - One Must Fall 2097. Unfortunately it keep...

Did Turbo Sprint live up to the hype? ;) Yes indeed. It is an awesome port. The only thing it is let down on is the sound effects and music. I say that lightly though. I played it for hrs last night. I was so glad you pointed me in the right direction. The other game I love from the Amiga core is IK+ . The intro, the music, the gameplay is perfect...

Hello I'm sorry for the question. I need an USB cable from amazon.de for the MT32-Pi. I bought 2 cables both claim USB 3.0 A to A but i can see 4 pins only. I cut the cables and inside i found 4 wires. For the MT32-pi i need all 9 wires. Can somebody get me a link for a working cable with USB 3 A to A for the MT32-Pi? I don't want to buy the wrong...

Jotego is working on many cores but very little of them will goes out.
this is a way of grabbing all to avoid other devs to work on it.
still waiting updates from Atari Jaguar core.

Its not a first claim situation. No one is stopping anyone working on any core they wish.

Re: Atari 7800 / 2600

At the point you are running a diferent CPU on the Cart its not really a game for that system anymore. Depends on your definition. The Super FX chip in Super NES cartridges was a 16- Bit RISC processor running at 21 MHz that made the SNES render 3D polygons. This chip was running cycles around the 65C816 8 Bit CPU that was clocked at 3.58MHz max (...

Re: BIOS Freezing After Update On Mega CD

Howdy, I'm new here but I have had a MiSTer about two years now, that I built myself. It is a dual-RAM 256mb set-up. I think I may have a solution for you. My Sega CD core worked flawlessly up until a couple of weeks ago. It then started to crash almost immediately upon loading the initial BIOS screen(before a game was loaded). It would continue t...

!computer-cores x68000

This looks wrong. this is saying no computer-cores but you do want x68000 which is a computer core. In fact alot of your filters are redundant. !computer-cores stops the computer cores yet you have dozens of computers removed by name too

Re: Update_all deleted all my console cores except 2

If you remove the list do all the core reappear. because if thye do its your filter list. Very subtle mistypes can cause havoc.

I would remove your list and add one filter at a time until you find the error

Technically update all just obeyed your filter list. I dont know the terms for the filters so cant help you there but somewhere in your wall of filters will be a typo.

Re: Analog IO Board V6.0 Fan Voltage

This wont be your last issue with this board. Its missing an entire row of header pins in p6 and p7, its nissing the io pin header near the User port , the 5v selector for the VGA port and is covered in flux In short your User IO Port will not work so you cant have Snac or a MT32 PI. Its been put together in a very shoddy way, typical,of a cheap Al...

Because HDR 3 doesnt exist hdr=0 ; 1 - enable HDR using HLG (recommended for most users) ; 2 - enable HDR using the DCI P3 color space (use color controls to tweak, suggestion: set saturation to 80). 0, 1 and 2 are the legal values Funny that as a new setup only the other day my ini reads: hdr=1 ; 1 - enable HDR using the BT2020 color space (faux-...
