That’s the biggest Mister I’ve ever seen! Why not get a normal case instead? It’s smaller, sleeker and better looking. Not to mention cheaper and easier to build.

Re: Saturn Core Hardware issue? SDRAM?

The solution is simple, don’t use dual ram. The core doesn’t primarily use that anymore and obviously it isn’t working right. When done, it will be single ram only so there’s no point in trying dual ram alphas. Disconnect your second ram and be done with it. Sunk cost fallacy and all that.

You're gonna zap that thing one day, better get it covered up. It's a real concern on these boards, fingers should never be near the PCB.

Still, what the jumper do?

I’ve tried asking that before. Apparently it’s a secret.

But the board itself is the standard snac board. Without it you’ll get no snac functionality.

Saturn core hitting main has me reconsidering dual sticks. A lot of missing sound on my single stick solution.

Dual stick won't help (anymore), the core was resigned to do dual concurrent access to a single stick. That stick, however, MUST be V2.9 or above.

BS. Works fine on my 2.5 RAM. Zero problems.

You will also need the Mister Unstable or the database file will not be read.

Easiest setup is to use the script from the FAQ https://vampier.net/N64/

Then all you need to do is supply the Bios files

Not even those. ;)

Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...

I think the idea of someone dedicating their limited time into making cores for useless systems like the Jaguar, 3do, Cdi and such is quite sad because the end result will not amount to anything good. A few of us nerds may give it a few minutes of attention for a laugh but that’s it. I think the developers time is better spent on something useful a...

Clearly an ESD damaged unit. The healthy thing to do here is to stop obsessing over a dead object and just toss it in the bin and move on. It’s not getting fixed, and all time spent on it is time wasted. Not just yours but the people in this thread. There are new ones, get one if you need it.

Can you post a clearer picture of the board? Maybe the chip or a resistor value is wrong (unlikely).

Also, really shitty behaviour of Mister Addons to put their own logo on an open source board that they didn't design.

See? There’s the fomo I was talking about. “There’s a change you might get slightly better image quality, but it doesn’t work on all TVs…”, “there might be some rare edge case where a dual ram setup could make some kind of sense sometime in the future…”.

Just stop it, please. Are you people like this with everything? What a terrible way to live.

Don’t do anything. There is nothing to be gained except possibly 128 MB, if you like neo geo (which I assume you don’t, since you didn’t even know this). The mister scene is full of fomo for some reason, don’t contribute. You have a fully working mister. Be at peace and enjoy it.

Damn, this should be advertised more. I didn’t know the Multisystem was such a bad product. The analog board has no such issues, the audio output is completely free from interference and noise. It’s better if you scrap the multisystem and get one of those.
